The hotel is located in the centre of town which makes it an ideal place to explore Marmaris by foot. It comprises a total of 80 rooms and self-catering apartments spread across 4 floors. Rooms for physically disabled guests are provided and the hotel is arranged for handicapped guests to be able to conveniently move around and use facilities. The rooms are air-conditioned and tastefully furnished and fitted with amenities such as an en suite bathroom and a TV. A private balcony is at guests' disposal to enjoy the fresh air and splendid views from the comfort of their rooms. Guests of all ages are welcomed to take advantage of the 2 swimming pools on site.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Cheap is not an excuse

So back home from a gorgeous week in Icmeler, Stayed at the Kapmar and have to be totally honest and say the stay there wasn’t the most pleasant of stays. Checked in 2am a week ago and the night guy took our cases to the lift and we went to the 1st floor where he met us and showed us to the room and turned the key to on for the air con. On leaving the room he stood outside and just stared, I asked him what and he put his arms out by his side waiting for his tip. Why should he ask for a tip when it didn’t warrant one? At breakfast the night porter and said person above were in the dining area rather than at the reception in case they were needed. My observation and also that of some other guests was that it was noticeable how many women he put his arm round guiding them to the coffee machine, he did this to my wife which she found quite offending especially when it was used in tandom with the word darling, the number of guest who named him touchy feely was quite significant. So back to the guy wanting a tip for showing us how to use the air con, he was on breakfast table patrol, standing over you taking plates before you’d swallowed your last mouthful, reaching over you while you were eating to take an empty plate instead of waiting for you to finish and leave the table! Being made to feel rushed is bad enough when most guests avoided the food on offer showed that they weren’t needing your table that quick! So on to the pool, walking past reception there is a sign clearly stating no towels to be put on sun beds before 7:00am. I thought that was a great idea as I don’t want to be involved in bed wars when I’m supposed to be relaxing. Pity that rule was not enforced as every morning virtually all beds were taken before 7am. What did stand out were the amount of towels on the same beds every day!. How could this possibly be happening? I’ll tell you how, the night bar staff were taking payment to put the towels out, but the annoying thing is many of the beds were left empty most of the day when people were unable to use the pool area. I can only take a guess that these are the guests who return year on year out saying the staff are lovely so helpful, we’ll they would be if you’re crossing the palm with Lira! This hotel has so much potential if they could actually be bothered and while I agree Murat is a genuine guy( this was proved in the way he handled a poolside incident) it’s the staff around him (cleaners not included,they did a great job) that are letting him down. I’m not going to moan on about being dated no fridge etc you get what you pay for but with a bit of tweaking you may just get those night cap drinkers back rather than them going straight up to their room. I’m sure there will be some angry reaction to this review but it is an honest one and people who look for reviews should be able to see both hood and bad. Thanks.

My experience only

After my original holiday was cancelled I rushed into booking another holiday and ended up booking the Kapmar, On first impressions it didn’t seem to bad, but having had two weeks there, the rooms were not cleaned properly I left something on the floor near the front door and it took the cleaner 4 days to sweep it up. The rest of the hotel didn’t even get swept as it was so dusty and dirty especially the carpet on the stairs stained smelly. The only thing I would say was acceptable was there were clean towels every day. The pool area didn’t get cleaned after ever night which would have taken about an hour which again would have made a massive difference for any guest. The whole place needs a full facelift or a few tins of paint at least. There was no fridge in any rooms I know that’s not a big thing for some but when you have to take medication that needs to be in a fridge it helps to have one. The hotel is central to icmeler which is a bonus. The hotel owner also doesn’t like cats as most know there is a few cats in the area and he had an issue with a black cat and he then proceeds to kick this little black cat 🐈‍⬛.

Central location pool ok if you can get a bed as towels on at 5.30am dirty carpet on stairs and no fridge in the rooms.Towels daily and beds made not exactly cleaned but was ok.pool area not cleaned and lots of ants.breakfast not good coffee horrible and watched by staff constantly in dining room for amount of food eaten.wifi only in reception.

Everything excellent

Always a pleasure to stay at the Kapmar. Staff are friendly, efficient and work hard to make sure your holiday is the best. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels and toiletries replaced and always in a friendly and courteous manner. The hotel is central so access to everything in Icemeler is easily located and within walking distance. No hassle for you to do anything. In fact you can do as you please as if you were in your own home. Meals are well prepared and you can make changes to the menu if needed. If the kitchen doesn’t have what you want they will pop out and buy it in. The pool is a manageable size complete with sun beds, and is a sun trap. All in all I cannot recommend the Kapmar enough.

Kap-nah not for me thanks

There really is no good points to this hotel. Its dirty the majority of staff are rude or sleezy. Firstly arrive at 1am and 3 people shown to room with 2 single beds nightporter puts bags in room and waits for tip 20 minutes later and me having to get my booking out the sleazy old night manager decides to blame jet2 even though stood and watched him check us into tht room and paying £40 week for aircon & £25 a week for safe so 2 weeks stay costing extra £130 ( should have stayed better hotel wit included live &learn) So onto the room small and boxy with a wardrobe dressing table and old TV with no option to upgrade also no fridge and can't buy water or anything else from anywhere except hotel bar which I'd fairly priced but still to stop people purchasing water is a bit ridiculous. The bathroom was fine towels changed but very old grey stiff towels.into the lift which had vomit and urine in told reception but much was t done 2 weeks later still vomit in lift. The breakfast was inedible broken toaster no microwave or sandwich press warm milk watery eggs.the snack bar menu was quite nice surprisingly and good prices and Turkish night was good too the food being brought from k corner restaurant next door but then you go round to k corner and there's a chihuahua pup sat on the dining tables a bit off putting also the cats in the hotel and shops below resulted with me getting flea bites on my feet and ankles onto sunbed gate quite frankly youve gotta be in it to win it lol I would like to say that yunis and his nephew and 1 of the other bar staff go above & beyond and are always polite with a smile on there faces when most people would combust I found nursin and murat to be very rude hostile and nasty at times the hotel could be a winner if money and time was spent on it I wouldn't go back by time spent money on aircon & safe can get an all inclusive for same price or somwere better also no entertainment no onsite shop no aircon in lobby or bar and July and August its necessary
