I am fully aware this hotel is a 3 star but unfortunately the cons outweighed the pros. Pros: location - short walk to beach and local shop. Staff - friendly & welcoming. Free WiFi - always beneficial. Shower pressure - not all hotel showers can properly wash long hair lol. Bed - large & comfortable. Entertainment - offered more or less every night, personally only experienced one evening but seemed good.
Cons: room - tiny, half a wardrobe and not enough storage space, the hangers didn’t even fit in the wardrobe itself???? Bathroom layout was terrible, need to scuttle in then shut door behind you to get to anything. No kettle facilities and you need to pay for air-con and to use the safe. Noise - now I didn’t expect silence obviously but with this being a ‘family’ hotel, what I also didn’t expect was running, screaming, shouting & doors banging at nearly 2am every single morning without fail. This may not bother some people but for someone like myself with noise anxiety, it was my worst nightmare. Balcony view - room 203, derelict building opposite was an absolute eyesore so the balcony was only used when necessary (we both smoke but only used it twice for that reason) Cleanliness: room was ok in general and cleaned every day if needed but bathroom and shower were mouldy. Breakfast - again, didn’t expect 5* food but the options are so minimal we ate the same thing toast & cereal for the whole stay. The only other options I saw were cheese, olives, scrambled egg & some fruit. We used the pool once but it was the hottest day meaning those horrible plastic type lounger mattresses would give you third degree burns!!! I could be wrong but I don’t think towels were offered around the pool which would probably be a good idea.
EVERYTHING about this hotel was fantastic!
The lift is in reception as well as stairs to the upper floors and both can be used day or night. The breakfast is served between 8-10 and has a very good selection of food/drinks - breads, toaster, eggs, cheeses, burgers, jams, honey, salad, olives, cereals, coffees and fresh juices. You can eat as much as you want, we had toast with cheeses, egg and diff things and went back for fruit with yoghurt each day. The coffee is the best! Iced or hot coffee is sooooo nice at asdamaris hotel! There is seating inside or outside, if sitting outside the local cats like to come and say hi (can be friendly but be aware they are not pets so can bite as not owned by hotel). There are options of other breakfast I.e full English that require ordering and payment but we never chose to as the breakfast option were enough for us. We had food a couple of times at the hotel in the daytime, the food/drink was excellent value for money and the chef was very good! The staff take your order at the bar or at the poolside, you provide your room number and you can pay straightaway or at the end of each day.. you can eat by the bar or on your sun lounger and the staff will bring food/drink to you. There is a pool table and darts board next to the bar area which is free to play. There are very clean toilets next to the bar and inside next to the breakfast area. The room was a good size, very clean and with a lovely view from the balcony. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided daily also. There is a fridge in the room where we kept our water bottles. The curtains do not cover the whole of the sliding doors, however behind them there is a black out curtain that goes the whole way across so no sun light came in and privacy was given from people looking into the room from outside. There was a TV that had a few English channels on also. The bathroom had a good size shower and toilet paper was provided daily. The hotel is in an excellent location - it is a 10min leisurely walk to the beach, beachfront restaurants and shops. The hotel has a corner shop next to it and this is open 24hours and cheaply priced items. The hotel has a tattoo artist shop on site, barbers which my partner used - reasonably priced and a spa. The spa was amazing it is located downstairs (next to the cafeteria area) - the lady was so kind and friendly. I had a foam massage and my partner had a full body massage - both massages were excellent and very good value for money. The spa itself is decorated beautifully, is very clean and offers other treatments I.e sauna, facials etc. The hotel has a pool that is open from 8-7pm?, the slide is operating between 2-4pm. There are plenty of sunbeds on the poolside and more on the upper floor poolside but was never needed to be used whilst we were there as there are plenty of beds and sun umbrellas. The pool gets the sun all day, there is shade on a small part of the pool near the bar seating area if the sun is too much when in the pool. The pool is 160cm depth all over with a separate 60cm children section pool next to it. There is no lifeguard on site and this is shown on the signs around the pool. There is music played at the poolside for part of the day. There is two step ladders to gain access into and out of the pool either end. All the staff are very good at their job, there is always someone round if you need assistance with anything and they are always happy and friendly to everyone. JJ is the manager and he is the loveliest of them all😁 The Turkish BBQ night is on a sat and is very good value for money as it is all you can eat and the belly dancer entertainment on the BBQ ngt was also very good. There is entertainment every evening at the hotel and is displayed on the blackboard each day what it is. This hotel is perfect for families, couples and singletons. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here from start to finish, we were always made to feel very welcome and relaxed and was sad to leave. We will defo be booking here again, the hotel was perfect for location, value for money, staff, entertainment and facilities.
We stayed in one of the family rooms 405 on the top floor and it was very spacious. The pool area was great to keep an eye on the 4 year old . Staff were very helpful and id recommend the Turkish night on a Saturday as the food was excellent. The only negative feedback is the curtains looked like they had been took down so once the sun came up the room was very bright. Also the balcony was very appealing as the wall was very high
Fantastic location atmosphere was also brilliant, Rooms a little on the small size there is no kettle or cups either so bring a kettle staff are happy to pass over cups to you The room is very clean the balacony i would not use as my view reminded me of been in a horror movie facing scary doors and scary windows of a scruffy building 😀 so I just used it to dry towels then run back into my room again 😀
we went last year aswell different room slightly better balcony but we will be booking again as we do love it here the staff are excellent couldnt do anough for you I will return but I would definitely recomend at checking what room you are allocated before taking your cases up as there is better rooms with better views from the balcony which is what were going to be doing on our next visit but this is a fabulous place and you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time
