Grand Pasa Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel in September Although it is advertised as five star, my experience fell well short of that,

I requested a pool view, understanding it wasn’t guaranteed, but was given room 212 overlooking the road and three huge generators. I was told no better room was available, I was also told that the nice were reserved more for the regular guests,

The food was mediocre,I could usually find something, but my husband struggled with the selection, and much of it was cold,Despite previous suggestions, there was no microwave for guests.

The entertainment was also mediocre, although this didn’t bother me greatly as I’m happy entertaining myself. The spirits seemed weak or very cheap; despite trying several drinks, I felt no effect. Guests drinking beer and wine, however, were clearly intoxicated, so this may have been limited to the spirits.

I was shocked by some guests’ behaviour, witnessing several apparent incidents of domestic abuse, including one involving police, as well as concerning behaviour towards children, This was extremely upsetting and unlike anything I have experienced at other hotels,

Pool Town seem to be a big issue there, unless you get to know Charlie or you get up at 5 am you have no chance in high season of getting any lounger, unfortunately I saw a lot of better reserved, and that didn’t bother me as I was getting up early myself, what did bother Me was they weren’t getting used until sometimes 2 pm

How to have mentioned Wi-Fi is really good but unfortunately I didn’t have that same experience around the reception. It was not too bad but my room was absolutely almost 0. The bar area outside and the pool area was hit and miss

There were also many hungry cats around the pool and near the entertainment stage. The hotel does not appear to take responsibility for them, so I fed them throughout my two-week stay Newborn kittens were present, and sadly one died. Animal lovers should help where they can

Despite these issues, I did have a good time overall. The entertainment , bar and cleaning staff were brilliant, and many guests return year after year and clearly enjoy the hotel, Perhaps my expectations were too high, but it felt much more basic than a five-star property, and I would not return.
