Hotel Grand Cettia

Great hotel, good variety of food and no issues with pool area, room or balcony.

I spent 2 weeks here and can honestly say it lived up to my expectations, I was a little concerned prior to travelling about the location and the people it may attract, but although there is a steep hill leading to the hotel you can cut through the hotel across which eliminates this, there is also a ramp into the hotel if you don't want to use the stairs.

One of the highlights of the hotel is seeing the hard working entertainment team as well as the kittens around the hotel which guests old and young all seemed to enjoy interacting with.

Overall for me it was a great experience although it should be made highlighted there is more than one building for accommodation, i stayed in the one furthest from the pool and near to the kids world.

Where do you start? There is no way on earth this is a 4/5 star hotel! It looks good from the outside and that's where it ends. The receptionists are OK but not always helpful, unless it means you are spending more money (safety deposit box, satellite TV etc). The rooms, although spacious, are tired, the bathrooms need a complete refurbishment, the metal spray thingy in the loo touches your bum so very unpleasant and unhygienic. The loo seat was loose and ill-fitted and was never seen to although we complained about it. The pool area was cramped, not enough umbrellas for shade and the sunbeds need replacing. There are cats everywhere, including inside (the one sat on the reception desk is particularly vicious and will attack and bite you). Talking of cats, they will crap anywhere, including on carpets in the corridors! 🤢 The restaurant is a joke, with the exception of the salad and fresh fruit everything else is either mass produced or frozen, cheap and nasty. The staff look bored, totally unapproachable and will take your plate before you've put down your cutlery. With the exception of breakfast, we opted to eat elsewhere. (The sister hotel across the road is on 3 star but the food and drinks are lovely as are the staff). The 'all-inclusive' drinks are very limited, unless you want to pay €6.50 for a sugary cocktail. The alcohol has definitely been weakened / watered down. At one point they ran out of brandy! The entertainment is geared towards small children, you will get sick of hearing 'baby shark'. All day fired up on e-numbers and blue sugary drinks, kids run feral around the hotel, parents are nowhere to ge seen. Its like an ongoing episode of 'Shameless' with sunshine. On the plus side our Jet2 rep, Suat, was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Lastly, we would like to give a big shout-out to Ozzy from the spa, we first knew him 15 years ago at the Cettia Beach, he is a diamond amongst gravel, always cheerful, genuinely funny guy. Also the chef cooking the omelettes in the mornings, is fabulous, great cook, always cheerful and singing. They deserve so much better than this place.

We have had another lovely stay at grand cettia. The management, bar, restaurant and entertainment staff are second to none, i would be here all day if i had to name all the ones who made our holiday special. The spa is also well worth a visit, very reasonable for what you get. The onsite photographer and jeweller are amazing too. Food and night time entertainment is very typical of all inclusive, but we have never gone hungry or not had a laugh…… i often wonder what it is some people expect for what they are paying x
