Aqua Fantasy Aquapark Hotel And Spa

Lütfullah is a great magician and provided entertainment for the family around the pool. He was fantastic! He has magic fingers!

Firstly this hotel could be amazing however they need to sort a few things out. On first arriving we were impressed however when we got to our room (late at night) we weren't happy. We booked a package holiday with Jet2 and it cost well over 6k, the room we had booked was meant to be for four adults with a sliding door to give privacy, it was tiny, the sliding door was frosted glass so not much privacy and wasn't filled in at the top so we could hear every word, Jet2 should never have allowed us to book this room for four adults, we decided we'd all go in one room one last time as our girls have just turned 18 and had it have been made clear by Jet2 this is more suited to younger families we would have just booked two separate rooms as there was £100 difference in cost and would have avoided so much disruption. We asked to upgrade to a larger room or have two separate rooms and there was nothing available, we were told to try again on 12th July we had arrived on 4th July! We had gone for two weeks, we were living out of suitcases as we couldn't hang even half of our clothing up as all we had between four adults was half of a small double wardrobe as the other half was shelving one of which had the safe on (which I know is normal) there was one draw in the second part of the room which was meant to be for two adults no wardrobe or hanging space whatsoever! The rep was really good and came to see us the morning after we arrived as I'd logged my complaint on the whatsapp jet2 complaints he totally understood what we were saying and arranged for us to get some more hangers as there was about eight hangers between four of us for two weeks which was great however as the wardrobe was too tiny it made no difference as we couldn't get anything extra in. True to his word he contacted me on 11th July to advise they had a family room if we wanted to see it, although we were part way through our holiday we went to see it, it was ground floor room facing the adult pool, the room was much much bigger and had plenty of storage however the balcony you couldn't sit on as the bushes were way over the top of the balcony as tall as me if not abit higher i'm 5ft4 to the point you couldn't see what you were overlooking and had no kind of view whatsoever, we still decided to move as we were so fed up of living out of suitcases, each time we sat on the balcony we got very bitten so didn't. To upgrade to room we were advised it was going to be 500 euros after negotiating with them we got it down to £260 GBP! This could have all been avoided if the hotel and Jet2 didn't allow for this room to be booked for four adults as we would have still booked however just booked two separate rooms, I wanted to give others the heads up.

The new room was missed several times for the mini bar they said it was because we may have had our do not disturb on this wouldn't have been the case as the room was cleaned each day so that didn't make sense, the mini bars should have also been done, when I raised it with reception they were good however referred me to guest relations, the lady I spoke to kept taking my room number down incorrectly as she wasn't really listening then eventually just walked off , she was so rude she was more interested in another conversation she wasn't part of next to her, she didn't hand me over to anyone just walked off, it was sorted however we were beginning to feel that things were starting to stack up, unfortunately I didn't get the ladies name.

Unfortunately on day four of our holiday I came down with sickness and diarrhea, although the hotel was very clean in someways the plates and glasses were awful, I lost count of the amount of times I changed a plate as the ones available in the restaurant were dirty it was like they weren't being properly cleaned, we all commented about this and I do feel its what caused my sickness, I lost a day of our holiday as I couldn't leave the room, I'd had little alcohol and very bland food so it couldn't have been caused by that, this needs sorting with the hotel as I'm sure will cause others to be ill, it got to the point where we were checking every glass and plate as it was getting worse as they got busier, my daughter also had the same thing three days before coming home

When we came to check out bearing in mind we had already been charged an extra £260 for the room I asked about a late check out - we only needed the room until 5pm and I was advised it would be 80 euros from 12-5pm this is crazy and totally wrong instead all of us had to manage using the showers available, they also stopped our key cards working before 12pm and so we had to go to reception just so we could get our bags from the rooms.

The food was ok very repetitive but I think you get that with most all inclusives as we've done alot now. The steakhouse was brilliant, the food was very good and service was good. We also went to the fish restaurant and that was also good however not quite as good as the steakhouse.

The pool areas are constantly cleaned which is good and they gave it a thorough clean every night which was good to see, the only downside is the mosquitos/bugs as you will get bitten, we went prepared as I'd read reviews and sprayed every night and it wasn't too bad some people were plastered in bites and our balcony as I've already mentioned also was a place where we got bitten. The hotel do try and help this situation by spraying each night. There are also alot of wasps I got stung by one just walking past the bar, they do need to try and sort this as it was alarming, I don't think it helped with so many people leaving sweet drinks unattended and not drank which attracted them.

Now for the good points, the aqua park is brilliant, avoid at midday as its rammed and you can't take any drinks in from hotel as they stopped us and held them until we were leaving, we used to go for a few hours some mornings or later on an afternoon as most that had come in for the day from other places were arriving just after or leaving just before. There's something for all ages.

The entertainment team needs a shake up although my family did enjoy the waterpolo and some of the games and my partner and I played golf which was ok but the crazy golf all needs replacing. We also used the tennis courts which were good.

The location is good as well we went out to kusadassi town which was a great day out, we did a very good boat trip which we organised ourselves through a company when we were in town at a much lower cost. We also went to Sirince and Ephesus which were great.

We did have a good holiday as its what you make it but I hope the hotel takes on board the concerns I've raised and Jet2 note we shouldn't have been allowed to book this room, they know the ages of people when you book so there should be an age limit, if you had small children the room would be ideal, although would still struggle with storage.

I come here with my family and we think about this hotel really perfect. The entertainment team is amazing! lütfullah puts his all into everything especially the waterpolo. Everyone here is extremely friendly but he made an effort to sit with us and understand what we wanted. Thank u for everything
