TripAdvisor Review
A really enjoyable stay - don’t believe everything you read

We’re just waiting for our transfer to the airport, so thought we’d take the opportunity to write our review while everything is still fresh!

We arrived on 3rd August and stayed for 7 nights. We’ll be honest, we were somewhat apprehensive before arriving after reading some very negative reviews. We were half expecting to find ourselves in nothing short of a pest-ridden pit!

Thankfully, this was most definitely not the case.

Our room

We had booked a standard suite but were allocated what we later discovered was a ‘Club Room’. It was absolutely stunning, although it was a hotel room rather than a suite. The room itself was lovely and had access to a beautiful private pool shared with the other two Club Rooms.

We did speak to Martin, the Jet2 rep, on Tuesday as we were looking for a little more space and a washing machine. He was incredibly helpful and showed us an alternative room which we could have moved into the following day. In the end, we decided to stay where we were because we were really happy with the room and private pool.

Our only negatives would be the lack of bins — there was only a small one in the bathroom — and the fact that we could hear the evening entertainment from our room. Obviously, this wouldn’t be an issue if you were actually attending the entertainment!

Housekeeping came every other day, changed the towels and generally kept everything tidy. We also got some lovely towel art, which was a nice touch.

Food Absolutely no complaints from us.

We were a party of 7 — 4 adults (including 2 vegetarians) and 3 children — and there was always plenty of choice. The salads in particular were full of flavour and there was something different to try each evening.

It’s standard all-inclusive buffet food, so don’t arrive expecting Michelin-star dining. And no, everything wasn’t piping hot, but honestly… when is everything ever boiling hot in a self-service buffet?!

Nobody went hungry, that’s for sure.

The desserts were delicious, and we’d definitely recommend trying the cheesecake!

Swimming pools & slides Some areas of the pools and surrounding areas are looking a little tired, but after reading some reviews you’d think the place was a complete death trap. It really wasn’t.

We all survived the slides — and even survived them enough to go back for a second go! 😂

The private pool attached to our Club Room was absolutely pristine and was a real highlight of our stay.

Animation & main pool The animation team were great. They were friendly and entertaining without being overly intrusive around the main pool, which we really appreciated.

Considering we were there in peak season, the main pool area also wasn’t the complete chaos we had expected. We managed to get sunbeds every morning without any problem.

The beach Yes, having to book the beach the day before is a bit of a pain, but it was definitely worth making the trip.

The gym Now, if you’re weird like my husband and I and actually enjoy working out on holiday… 😂

The gym is probably the area that needs the most attention. It is looking tired and quite a few of the machines, both weights and cardio, weren’t working.

That was probably our biggest negative about the hotel. That said, we still managed to get our workouts done — we just had to be a little more creative!

The animals Having read some reviews, we were expecting feral cats and dogs roaming around everywhere!

Yes, there were some cats and a couple of dogs, but they were absolutely no threat or problem whatsoever. They kept themselves to themselves and certainly didn’t affect our stay.

Shopping We bought handbags and shoes within the hotel. The shoe shop was particularly good — the man was incredibly helpful and very patient while we tried on A LOT of pairs! 😂

The onsite convenience store is expensive if you’re buying non-Turkish brands such as sweets, ice cream and fizzy drinks. However, we thought it was reasonably priced for essentials such as milk and coffee.

Spa We’d definitely recommend a trip to the spa. We had massages and a Turkish Hammam and really enjoyed the experience.

Overall Would we come back? Yes, we would.

Is the hotel perfect? No. There are definitely areas that could do with some investment and improvement, particularly the gym and some of the pool areas.

But some of the reviews we read beforehand made us wonder what on earth we had booked — and honestly, we found them to be wildly out of proportion to our experience.

We had a lovely 7-night stay, the staff were friendly, there was plenty of food, the pools were enjoyable, our private pool was fantastic, the animation team were great and, most importantly, none of us came home traumatised by feral animals or swimming for our lives! 😂

We came as a party of 7 and everyone had a good time. For a family all-inclusive holiday, we’d happily recommend it.

4 star site

Our holiday was all inclusive, great choice of food, drinks, snacks etc. The Al A Carte restaurant was a let down, limited options and some options on the me u were not available. The staff were accommodating and approachable. The entertainment staff were fantastic! Most knew multiple languages and they really made the holiday! Our only frustration was the amount of wasps, the pool bar had a hive in the wicker roof and the wasps were everywhere

Family review

We visited July/August 26. Our room was spacious and clean, we were in the Oaks. The hotel is isolated and requires plenty of walking which was something we knew on booking, the hotel is very generous with water and drinks in general, some places only serve soft drinks from 11am and restrict how many you can get at a time, which can make having access to a cheap supermarket a necessity but if you are looking for a totally relaxing hotel based break and you don’t need to venture out then it is the perfect place with ample of everything you’d expect from a hotel based holiday. The washing machine was so helpful. We all found the food really good. My kids are used to home cooking and we don’t do take out or fast food regularly so they had no complaints at all even though they’d mainly stick to bread, pasta , chips and chicken, that’s totally an age thing. The main pool is lively and there are plenty of quiet pools for a relaxed experience. Occasionally we would see hints of drunk brits creating a bit of tension but the size of the complex made it possible to avoid this if that kind of thing spoils your holiday which it does for us. The hotel did have security staff and we never witnessed anything that would require them but given other reviews it is good they have them. The on site shop is over priced but there is a migos on the corner of the last road approaching the beach (you can see it from the bus so you can’t get lost) I would recommend you take sweets and stock up on extras including your chocolate from here it’s only a short walk and we did it with a fairly fit 80 year old. This hotel suits families that want a fixed price holiday and understand their location is remote as travelling without a hire car really adds to the overall cost so if you want regular nights out this is not the hotel base to do it from. If you are booking for pools, sun and all inclusive it won’t disappoint and I think you can ignore the negatives. However if you are expecting night life and walks around the town you will be disappointed as this will add so much to the holiday cost you would get better value based somewhere else and you’ll end up posting negatives about how bored you are with the same food and entertainment, it really does come down to if you know what you’re booking. I really enjoyed this holiday and found the room, staff, pools and food and drink all great for the price, if they was a cheap taxi or easy walk into town the price would double. WiFi was also great and in the room good enough for Roblox which we’ve never experienced in Turkey before as it requires more bandwidth than we’ve had on other Turkish hotel WiFi. I hope this review helps you decide if it’s the right hotel for you because it’s a shame that the hotel gets negative reviews that worry visitors before they get there. If it is right for you then pack washing tablets, clothes pegs, ice pops, Nutella (they have pancakes but the chocolate sauce isn’t great), loads of sweets and maybe some concentrated cordial, loads of sun tan lotion and pool inflatables. Enjoy, I wish I could do it again!

Good, not as good as last year

Family of 5 ( three kids under 10) This our second summer visiting. Stayed in the Pines both times which is a great spot. You can’t ask more of the rooms. Although not cleaned as often as last time. Pools are in abundance and great. Lots of walking to be done or use the golf buggies - just phone 9 for reception or grab one from reception. There are some great new additions, such as the food court and Irish bar (not very Irish though). The extension to the main restaurant is also very welcome. Kids club is okay, could be better organised with more attentive staff, Overall decline is food. Breakfast now lacks more British options and what I would call french pastels if that what you are looking for. But still lots of choice. Lunch is good - this where the addition of the food court is welcome. Lack of pizza now at the snack bars is a shame. Dinner could be better. Lots of choice but very repetitive, there is now a lack of theme night and the al a crate isn’t as good as it was. Book early for the al a carte. This hotels is worth a visit but as a returning customer I am not sure we will be back.

TripAdvisor Review
Overall mixed/good and value for money

3-4☆

We came with low expectations as we'd read recent reviews, which are very mixed. Overall we enjoyed the holiday with nice room in pines, maybe we were lucky. We felt it was good value for what we paid for 10 nights AI at the height of the season. The whole site is a little unique (forgive the pun) given size and mix of overseas holidaymakers and local's that own accomodation.

Food - Average food sometimes only warm (common feedback) / no themed nights and food very similar everyday.

Beach - we didn't go to the beach so can't comment but queue was very long each day.

Pools - we didnt go around the main pool at all as we preferred the quieter pools. The main pool area is pretty crammed and noisy but depends what you prefer. We stayed by the pools at the Pines, the waterfall pool was our favourite.

Rooms - we booked a 2 bed 2 bathroom accommodation and were pleasantly surprised by the size (albeit weren't expecting bunk beds so daughter slept in kitchen/lounge area). It also had a washing machine so was handy.

Cleaning - we did have a cleaner every two days but she didn't appear to do a thorough clean. Towels changed but different amounts left when they did change them. Our bed was changed but kids beds weren't. Glass wasn't clean all around the hotel and on our balcony. Towels were stained and bedsheets had holes.

Bars - main bar was busy and only one serving most of the time. Pool bar at pines served food too but was average and depended who you got but service was mixed.

Staff - some staff worked hard but I would say the majority didn't and would benefit from customer service training.

Luckys/Hong Kong restaurants - both enjoyable in different ways and mixes up the holiday away from the hotel site. But both around £150 for 4 people (no alcohol) so reasonably expensive (but free transport included makes it much better value).

We thought the holiday was good value for money but we would say more between 3 and 4☆ overall, pushing closer to 4☆.

Customer's thoughts will depend a lot on their expectations and in context of what was paid for the holiday.
