This lovely boutique hotel is located in East Coast and boasts a beautiful beach location. When designer Camille Walala saw our bright blue skies, pink sunsets, green sugarcane fields, and the explosion of diverse paint colours used to decorate the houses in our village, it was love at first sight. And with local makers creating the furniture, art, and finer details, the Mauritian influence comes through loud and clear. It makes our boutique hotel completely unique.

The hotel offers a range of activities for guests to enjoy throughout their stay. Guests can soak up the tropical weather whilst taking advantage of the outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers, or even enjoy a range of water sports and on-site activities like horse riding, or why not take part in a traditional cooking class, this way you can enjoy the amazing cuisine at home!
The hotel features an on-site restaurant, a bakery and 3 bars - including a rooftop, beach, and pool bar. The restaurant uses woks, tandoor ovens and wood smoking for a range of its meals, giving its guests a more authentic feel.

Beautiful modern hotel with close access to beach
A very brand new hotel with art deco settings, picturesque ocean views and amenities. Hotel staff friendly and beach access very close to rooms. What I found lacking was food variety, taste/quality, especially for lunch/dinner. For that reason alone I would give it a 4.5 (instead of 5) . Also their full-board package tended to be more expensive than other similar facilities in the island

Amazing experience
The Salt of Palmar Hotel is in such an amazing location. It was a special birthday gift from my wonderful husband. We live in the north of the island, and this hidden treasure is only about an hour away. On our arrival. We were welcomed by one of the staff members. Sorry, I can't recall the gentleman's name. His greeting was warm and genuine. The hotel exudes relaxation from the moment you walk in. Our room was right on the beach, clean with a delightful breeze. The food was beyond our expectations, with well-balanced meals made entirely from organic products. The menus are well executed. It is very rare to go on a holiday and eat without feeling guilty about it. It was so well presented and delicious we couldn't ask for more. We have travelled the world. We both enjoy excellent food, and we believe the most important thing is the quality rather than the value. As previously stated, we enjoy travelling and have stayed in Michelin-starred hotels. We had left with complaints, but Chef Ravi's meals at the TEK TEK restaurant were even better than we had hoped. The service was remarkable; the waiter was excellent. However, this experience was superb. The service and staff are wonderful; nothing is too much trouble. They are always smiling, and the breakfast was wonderful and 100% healthy. I can go on and on. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel; the staff members are very kind and respectful. My husband and I thank you for the wonderful service that made our stay so memorable. Once again we highly recommend this wonderful place; it is excellent value for money. Thank you very much, and we will definitely come back again. The only thing that was lacking was a bit of evening entertainment. As music is soothing, it would be wonderful to have some soft live music. thank you.

SALT pure peace
My father and I have just returned to SALT for another wonderful weekend, and as we always say, it truly feels like our second home. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with such genuine warmth, friendliness and kindness. The staff are simply exceptional. They go above and beyond every single time to make sure you are comfortable, happy and have everything you need. It is the people at SALT who truly touch your heart. The food, as always, was exquisite. I especially love seeing the lead chef walking around the restaurant, taking the time to visit the tables and personally ask guests if they are satisfied with their meals. That extra personal touch says so much about the care, pride and professionalism of the team. We also experienced the Retreat Package – Immune Booster, and it was absolutely wonderful. It is definitely worth experiencing and something we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a little extra time to relax, recharge and take care of themselves. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, and every detail makes you feel at ease. SALT is also the most wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion. They go out of their way to make you feel truly spoiled, loved and cared for, creating memories that stay with you long after you leave. SALT is, without a doubt, our favourite hotel and the most amazing home away from home we have ever known. Thank you to the entire SALT team for another beautiful and memorable weekend. You continue to make us feel so special every time we visit. We cannot wait to return to our second home again soon!
