A slice of paradise!
Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius is, without a doubt, one of the most stunning properties I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, everything felt incredibly special.
We were upgraded to a Frangipani Suite, and the room was simply breathtaking. It had an expansive bedroom, a huge bathtub, two vanities and a beautiful sit-out balcony right at the edge of the ocean. The water was unbelievably clear and the view was so mesmerising that I could have spent the entire day just sitting there and looking out at it.
As part of the Inner Circle, we had the option of enjoying breakfast either at TSK or at Coco’s. TSK offers an incredibly expansive buffet with an impressive variety of choices, while Coco’s is a much more intimate beachfront setting, with a smaller buffet and the option to order special dishes. We personally preferred Coco’s because of its beautiful location right by the beach and the more relaxed experience.
The attention to detail throughout our stay was exceptional. We were welcomed with champagne and gourmet chocolates and were constantly pampered with thoughtful gifts, including customised flip-flops, a beautiful beach bag to use during our stay and a sarong to take home as a keepsake. These little touches made us feel truly looked after.
The service was impeccable throughout the property. There are also complimentary water activities available, including snorkelling, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
One of the most unique experiences was spending some time with the Aldabra giant tortoises that live on the property. There is a dedicated area where these adorable creatures can be seen, and we had the opportunity to visit and spend some time with them. These magnificent tortoises can live for well over a century, with some reaching 150 to 200 years, which made the experience even more fascinating.
Another highlight was visiting the Shangri-La private island, which is connected to the resort by a boat departing approximately every 30 minutes. The island is beautiful and serves some fantastic food. The truffle pizza is an absolute must-try! We really enjoyed spending time there and soaking in the beautiful surroundings.
The beach at the resort is simply spectacular, with pristine white sand and incredibly clear water at a wonderfully comfortable temperature. We also enjoyed an evening at Coco’s with champagne, watching the sunset while enjoying some delicious food. It was one of those moments that stays with you.
The pool is quite unique as well. It almost resembles a natural lagoon or lake, complete with waterfalls, and is beautifully integrated into the landscape.
The facilities are equally impressive. The gym is one of the most expansive hotel gyms I have come across, with an excellent range of equipment for both cardio and strength training. The spa is beautiful and spacious, and the complimentary steam and sauna facilities are an added bonus.
What truly sets Shangri-La Le Touessrok apart, though, is the feeling of being in your own little world. The combination of the incredible natural beauty, impeccable service, thoughtful touches, beautiful rooms and memorable experiences makes the entire property feel like its own little piece of paradise.
I absolutely loved my stay here and honestly cannot wait to return. This is one Mauritius property that I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Amazing Honey moon
The staff will be above and beyond where ever possible. We saw our room improved, food catered to how we liked. Amazing transportation. Honestly everything was so amazing and we will definitely be back. The only thing lacking is my own inability to describe how great of an experience I had

Cash missing from our room – a terrible end to our honeymoon
Cash missing from our room – a terrible end to our honeymoon
We checked out yesterday from room 259 after spending our honeymoon at Shangri-La Le Touessrok Mauritius.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the airport, I discovered that cash was missing from my handbag. My handbag had been kept inside the dressing room of our suite – it was not left openly or visibly lying around. This is what makes the situation especially disturbing, as someone would have had to access the dressing area and my personal belongings to find the cash inside my bag.
We obviously cannot say who was responsible, but we know the cash was there before and discovered it was missing immediately after leaving the hotel.
For a luxury hotel of this level, this is absolutely unacceptable. Guests should be able to feel that their personal belongings are safe inside their own suite.
What should have been the perfect ending to our honeymoon was unfortunately overshadowed by this experience. Instead of leaving Mauritius with only wonderful memories, we left feeling shocked, disappointed and uncomfortable.
We sincerely hope management investigates who had access to room 259 during our stay and takes this matter seriously.

Rosario was a fantastic archery coach. In general the resort is the best in every aspect. Hands down.

We are truly grateful to Dr. Hujjaree and the entire medical team for the exceptional care provided to me during our stay at Shangri-La. They were professional, compassionate, and incredibly supportive throughout my illness. What impressed us most was that they continued to check on my condition even after we moved to another resort and after we safely returned home. Their kindness and dedication went far beyond our expectations. Thank you for your outstanding care and genuine concern.
