Ideally located on the east coast, nestled in the beautiful Trou d'Eau Douce bay, the hotel faces the paradisiacal Ile aux Cerfs, offering free boat shuttles from the hotel jetty, and is also close to the Blue Bay Marine Reserve, well positioned to offer a range of interesting marine expeditions. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is situated approximately 49 km from the residence.
Cosy, warm and convivial are the attributes that best describe this hotel, a place where guests, many of them regulars, feel at home, among friends, and would not contemplate going anywhere else. Its relatively small size, with only 58 rooms available, makes for a very special friendly, family-like atmosphere. Fully air-conditioned, it offers a 24-hour reception, a bar, restaurant, Internet access (for a fee) and room service.
The hotel's main rooms are decorated in local style and comfortably arranged with large beds. Each room has a balcony or terrace, looking out directly over the beach and the lagoon. There are also 2 larger family rooms, set back slightly for added privacy but still close to the beach. Their terraces overlook the garden and its lush, tropical plants. The en suite bathrooms in all accommodation are fitted with a shower and hairdryer. In-room amenities include a double bed, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a safe, minibar and individually regulated air conditioning.
A local band entertains guests during the evening and once a week there is a special Sega show, when visitors can discover the music and rhythms traditional to Mauritius in a flamboyant whirl of sound and colour. The hotel offers guests use of an outdoor swimming pool, sun terrace with sun loungers laid out for use and various sport facilities such as windsurfing, canoeing, pedal boating, darts, volleyball, bocce, golf and biking. Entertainment programmes are available for adults.

The best trip
We absolutely loved our stay and would genuinely recommend this hotel. The location was fantastic, with a lovely little village nearby offering great restaurants, small shops and beautiful beaches. The taxi service was excellent, and it was easy to explore further by bus into Flacq or by hiring a car.
The hotel itself is small, friendly and incredibly welcoming — it genuinely felt like staying with family. Everyone knew us by our first names and took the time to get to know us personally, rather than making us feel like just another guest or room number.
Every member of staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay special. A particular thank you to Karen and Crystal at reception, Vikash and Nancy in the kitchen, and Patricia in housekeeping. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warmth and kindness really made our holiday.
We felt completely at home here, and leaving was genuinely very sad. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this beautiful little hotel. ❤️

Such a relaxing stay
From the moment we arrived we were left to relax. We had a villa and so much room for 2 of us. We were in our pool Everyday. All the staff were amazing. From check in to check out our whole week was amazing. The food was so good and the chef spoke to us every night to check and see if the food was good. Every member of staff was friendly and happy and no one was ever having a bad day which helps people relax and enjoy their holiday. The bar staff were also very helpful and friendly and always brought our drinks over for us. We had our room Cleaned and towels changed everyday and the beach towel idea is really clever and means you’ve always got a towel to go out with. The hotel is small and friendly and we had a glass bottom boat trip and a speed boat trip to ile aux cherfs all laid on by the hotel. There are also to sun verandas above the restaurant one facing the sea and one facing the pool. Also plenty of sun-beds around the pool. The tea bar and T’Bja are really good ideas too for something different. The stock up shop is a really good idea. You take jars up and refill your own tea, coffee, sugar and milk. And also replenish your own mini bar drinks from There too. Tropical attitude is one of the most helpful Hotels we have ever stayed in. We would love to return one day to relax. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing stay and in a lovely friendly resort.
Amazing stay at Tropical Attitude
Lovely seafront hotel with top-notch service! Beautiful location right on the sea, very clean and peaceful. The team is amazing — especially Karen and Kristel at reception, Arvin in F&B and the Chef. Everyone made us feel so welcome and included. Highly recommended!
Wedding Anniversary
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary . The atmosphere was so lovely, peaceful like I felt I was in Rodrigues. The staff made our stay wonderful, excellent service , made us feel extra special. We truly enjoyed our stay & would happily come back again. Wonderful
We all had a great time again at this hotel, great welcome from all the people we've met as usual. After my first visit, I've been talking about their coffee and the tranquillity and these are what made me return back, and of course also for their staff. A special thanks to the assistant manager for taking care of us.
