The island's capital, Port-Louis, a bustling centre of business and entertainment, is only 15 kms from the hotel. It is located 55 kms from Sir Seewoosagur International Airport of Mauritius and only 15 kms from the island's hub, Grand Baie, known for its shopping, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. This hotel stands at the edge of 1,000 metres of sparkling ivory sands on the north-west coast of Mauritius, in the bay of Pointe Aux Piments of the Indian Ocean. Lush gardens create the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway. The hotel's 265 spacious deluxe rooms located in the main building offer views over the tropical garden, which leads to the beach and the Indian Ocean. Beyond simple relaxation afforded by the sand and sea, the hotel offers several games, different sport activities and excursions that range from glass-bottom boat tours to snorkelling and scuba diving.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I had a great stay overall and would definitely come back. The staff were wonderful throughout my visit — friendly, welcoming and always willing to assist. The room was also very clean, comfortable and well maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. One small thing I would suggest is providing guests with clearer directions on how to get to the hotel. Depending on the navigation app or route selected, it can sometimes direct you onto a dirt road, which can be a little confusing, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the area. Some guidance on the best route to take would be really helpful. Other than that, I had a really positive experience. Great service, a clean and comfortable room, and an enjoyable stay overall. I would happily return!

Our stay at Le Méridien Mauritius was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The resort is beautifully located with stunning ocean views, prestigious beaches, and a peaceful atmosphere that made our trip truly unforgettable. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable, while the food offered a fantastic variety of delicious local and international dishes. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. We highly recommend Le Méridien Mauritius to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable holiday in paradise. Huge thanks to everyone at Le meridien and in particular to Jaya, the whole team at Nomad and a special thank you to Chef Ali for his culinary expertise. A special mention to Lorna for her care and attention during our stay.

We stayed at Le Meridien for 12 nights towards the end of July/beginning of August. We would definitely return. By far the biggest draw as parents of a 7 and 8 year old is the kids club. It's hands down the best one we've ever come across. It was hard to get the kids to leave, which has the benefit of allowing you time to relax. The activities are well thought out activities and change slightly each week. A special mention to each of Joelle, Sephora, Melissa, Anna, Shirley, Stella, Karline, Anielle and Annacelle. Each and every one of them did a fantastic job. Notwithstanding anything I say from here, the kids club alone is enough of a reason to stay at Le Meridian. I can't emphasise that enough.
The complex is a large beach front location that's easy on the eye with a larger 1.7m deep pool, a shallower kids pool and a further pool at the Nirvana adults section.
Rooms are a good size with balcony's or direct beach access for those on the ground level. The cleaners were in each day to tidy the room and provide fresh towels.
The food in the buffet was ok. However, the restaurants were much better, particularly Jade.
For all the good there were a few negative elements. We were all inclusive and you have to sign for absolutely everything despite the fact there wasn't a charge. Not everything is included, for instance ice creams from the fridge and some meals still require a supplement. There were free scoops of ice cream, but not readily available. The service at the buffet restaurant could be a bit poor. You weren't offered a drink immediately when seated and often ended up having to attract the attention of someone. There seems to be more emphasis on collecting plates without a second of taking your last bite. There could also be a wider variety of food for children whose taste buds are not so varied...
Yes, it's not perfect but there were far more pros than cons. We really enjoyed our time here and would return again. Whilst this hotel already has a great rating, a few small tweaks would make it exceptional.
