It is located 55 kms from Sir Seewoosagur International Airport of Mauritius and only 15 kms from the island's hub, Grand Baie, known for its shopping, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. This hotel stands at the edge of 1,000 metres of sparkling ivory sands on the north-west coast of Mauritius, in the bay of Pointe Aux Piments of the Indian Ocean. Lush gardens create the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway. The hotel's 265 spacious deluxe rooms located in the main building offer views over the tropical garden, which leads to the beach and the Indian Ocean. Beyond simple relaxation afforded by the sand and sea, the hotel offers several games, different sport activities and excursions that range from glass-bottom boat tours to snorkelling and scuba diving.

Perfect hotel
Perfect hotel, perfect staff
Don’t book your honeymoon here, pick any other hotel
The worst place I've ever stayed at. The reception team are the most unhelpful staff I've ever encountered in my life. We travelled over for our honeymoon and had tried several times to book our stay only for it to be cancelled by the hotel due to 'lack of availability' yet they were still advertising rooms on there own website as well so on every hotel site.
We finally did manage to book a room and had it confirmed from the travel agents. I had been in contact with members of staff before travel as well, no one let us know that room wasn't available. We then arrived at the hotel to be left waiting with no explanation, when my husband went up to ask what was happening we were told our booking had been declined.
We were told there were at full capacity and couldn't take us, but they miraculously found a room for only 2 out of our 8 night stay. The manager told us he was going to get us a special rate for the room due to the mix-up, he then CHARGED FULL PRICE, under the disguise it was a discounted room.
I also checked and their website was showing the room we were offered was available for our full stay on the Marriot website and he said 'yes our website does that, shows rooms that are not available'. So a known booking error within their own website that they aren't addressing or getting fixed.
We were then completely ignored our whole stay, not one single member of staff offered to help us find alternative accommodation or even asked if we were all right, knowing we had flown over 16 hours from the UK to spend our honeymoon here.
On top of that, the room we were given had cockroaches in it and the shower flooded into the bathroom.
I have been in contact with Marriot complaints, and the hotel since our experience at the start of August, nearly a month of me messaging and waiting on replies to basically be told 'too bad we aren't doing anything about it'. Absolutely ridiculous excuse for a hotel, and certainly should not be 5 star, or what anyone should expect from a Marriot.
I wont be letting this type of treatment of guests slide, if you are thinking of staying here, especially for something like a honeymoon DON'T!!!

1st Time visit in Nirvana wing
Last day of an 11 night stay in Nirvana wing on AI basis. Stunning location in a beautiful long stretch of beach. Nirvana wing great for a chilled time. Food/drink options excellent & all staff always on hand to assist. Staff are mostly local with ongoing training but always met with a smile so please be patient with them. Also appreciated the assistance with early & late check in. Would defo return & recommend to friends & family
PS Try the bottled AI wine selection. Great quality

Honeymoon hotel of dreams
We had the most amazing start to our honeymoon at Le Meridien! A big thank you to every single staff member for exceptional service including Sailesh in particular who remained at our disposal always. From the buffet to the restaurants, the food and drink was premium quality and taste. There were so many free activities from watersports to cooking class. The views were immaculate throughout the whole resort and every single facility was clean. The royal suite was particularly enjoyable!

Honeymoon
My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating our honeymoon in Mauritius with Le Méridien Ile Maurice. From the facilities to the wonderful service we couldn’t asked for anymore. Special mentions to Jerome and all the team at Jade for their wonderful service throughout. Thank you so much.
