The Sugar Beach Hotel is set in palatial grounds in Wolmar, Mauritius. Enclosed in its own grove of palm trees, the Sugar Beach Hotel feels wonderfully removed from the rest of the word, but the thriving port of St Louis is close by. Beyond the manicured gardens the resort extends to the beach which boasts half a kilometre of perfect white sand.

There are lots of wonderful facilities to enjoy here including a fully-equipped fitness centre, tennis courts and some great opportunities for water sports and scuba diving.* There are also some great trails to explore through the trees and further out into the island - and you can hire bicycles* at the hotel to help you get about.
Access to the incredible spa, complete with Turkish bath (or hammam) is another perk of staying at the Sugar Beach Hotel. And another good reason to take things easy and go with the flow.

You'll want plenty of time to enjoy your room. Standard Garden View are air conditioned and elegantly furnished with a balcony or terrace, rooms continue the plantation theme with use of real wood and complementary colours. All rooms are en suite and come with LCD flat-screen satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, safe and hairdryer. You could also choose to upgrade to a selection of beautiful rooms including those with a seaview or a beachfront room.

Marè marè was excellent, staff and managers made it a very special evening. Danish, Leonardo, Caroline Emillie, Sanjeet, the whole team thank you for such a special time
Not value for money....£8500 for a couples 11 night stay and fell far short of our expection. Leaving dissappointed !
Paid alot of money for a 30th wedding anniversary stay as we were led to believe by our TUI rep it was good for couples and found nothing more than a average family hotel with plently of kids running about. So is the agent at fault or the holtel? All inclusive package is limited in comparision to other places we have stayed. Staff are excellent though, as are the grounds and beach. Buffet food selection is nothing spectacular....most nights the same dishes on offer..Budda bar is good, but again all inclusive package menu is limited, so just be aware of this....There's hardly anything to do of an evening. Bands offer live music, but gets repetative after a few nights stay, temptation band the only really highlight playing authentic creole music with dancers, overall the Mauritian flying foxes offered us better evening entainment. Needs some fire eating, magic or jugging acts to spice things up. Hotel needs a sports bar, some pool tables even an arcade facility and defintely a new dart board. Please mount it on a solid wall at regulation height and get some half descent quality darts. Hotel is situated in amazing grounds and plently of space to consider postioning some outdoor tennis or football tables to offer some alfresco family funtime. A coffee house and ice cream parlour would be a welcomed addition. We stayed at Royalton hideway Cancun for over half the price of this holiday and it exceeded our expectations and offered all this and much more thus our appraisal Sugar beach is not value for money. Hotel management should check out their website or better still go see how to offer 5 star luxury like this...This hotel is not value for money, we won't return or recommend to friends. Mauritius and its people are lovely, just wouldn't recommend staying here...Our average review score is overall for our trip to Mauritius. I'm sure we will get a generic AI produced management response, but they need to listen to feedback from paying guests and impliment positive change. You have lost one customer here based on our recent stay......you don't won't to lose more you need to improve the guest experience, if nothing else replace that dartboard.

Lovely environment, friendly staff. Really good service at the Patio restaurant and amazing selection of vegetarian dishes, both for breakfast and dinner. Thank you for the veg croissant 😄. Mr Bruno, the manager was very welcoming and constantly checked if I'm okay with the selection of vegetarian options. He even got the Chef to give me a tour of the veg corners 🙂 thank you Chef for the tasty food. Just one suggestion, flavoured tea would be a great option (masala or cardamom chai)😊
At the gym, loretto has been cheerful and welcoming at all times. Guess that's where I got the motivation to be regular 😄😄. I'm gonna miss you😃 usually I'm not very motivated to go to the gym.🤣🤣 Thank you for informing me about the salsa classes. It was a great experience with the tutor.
At the spa, Priya was great. Thank you for the deep tissue massage. Really good massage.❤️

Great service
We had a fantastic stay at Sugar Beach Mauritius, and one of the highlights was the outstanding service from Doshan at the bar. He was always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and he made every visit a pleasure. His cocktails were excellent, and he always greeted us with a genuine smile and a positive attitude.
Doshan's professionalism and kindness really stood out and made our holiday even more enjoyable. He is a real credit to the Sugar Beach team, and we hope to see him again when we return. Thank you, Doshan, for helping make our stay so memorable!
