An ideal choice amongst Seychelles resorts, this property lets visitors to experience the very best the island has to offer. They can sunbathe on a quiet sandy beach, cool off in the ocean or pool or take advantage of the action packed days of culture and nature trips, ocean adventures or spa down time. The property consists of a large choice of rooms including 4 suites and 2 disability-friendly rooms. As for the onsite dining options, guests will find 2 restaurants and Shisha Bars where to spend a nice evening talking with friends. There is also an on-site car park and a magnificent outdoor pool surrounded by swaying palm trees, ideal to enjoy a moment of relaxation.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I stayed at a hotel with my family for two days. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they welcomed us warmly.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, and everything was well arranged. We enjoyed spending time together and relaxing at the hotel.
We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was amazing, and I really enjoyed most of the dishes. However, I was a little disappointed with the sushi because it was not rolled properly and was a bit messy to eat. I expected better quality from the sushi restaurant.
Apart from that, everything was good, and we enjoyed our stay. Even though we stayed for only two days, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. I would be happy to stay at the hotel again.
Great location, service and quality of breakfast but some issues with the rooms.
Avani+ barbarons is ideally located along Barbarons Beach, ideal for a long walk, the nature around is amazing. The mangrove and Grand anse beach are walking distance from the hotel 50 meters +- from the mangrove side of the hotel. The Mangrove kayaking is very nice and a must do for something different. The original design of the hotel makes the resort quite pleasant only 2 floors, devided into 2 sections. The right side has 1 pool,a bar, kids and adults games area with ping pong etc and a restaurant. The water sports activity center is also there. Pool and beach. It is a busy area.
The lobby is open to the sea and has nice architectural features, design and open air. Left you ll have front desk, a restaurant that serves a very good breakfast and the second part of the resort called the lagoon. 2 floors also. Ground floors unit have direct pool access and 1 st floor has a pool view and some units sea and pool views. This side also features a pool, beach and a bar. In the middle you have the new individual pool suites divided in 2 small buildings on the beach. This side is my favorite, very quiet, no movements, peaceful and relaxed. The rooms are also bigger.
As a Minor member and part of my package I had an upgrade for a superior category room. To my surprise I was allocated a ground floor room in front of the pool toilets and loud music. I don’t come from Dubai to Seychelles to be allocated a room like that. Not my kind of holidays. Long story short yes no yes no it was apparently fully booked but something was possible the following day which was not convenient so after some talks we were shown the Lagoon side rooms which where very nice, spacious nice vaulted ceiling, sea and pool view we went for it and paid extra for it. The problem there is the horrible sewage smell in all the rooms and we saw 3 or 4 to finally found one which was okish.
Staff is very friendly in general, the GM is everywhere checking here and there which is a good thing. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Be careful at the room category you book though it’s important and you won’t be disappointed.
It was very wonderful holiday and staying in Avani hotel. Everything was perfect, delicious breakfast front on the ocean 😍
The property is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and very comfortable rooms. The food was excellent throughout our stay, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality options at every meal.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the property. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and we had to repeatedly ask for our room to be cleaned properly. Overall, I would rate the housekeeping around 6/10.
We were also celebrating two very special occasions—our anniversary and our babymoon—and were hoping for a more memorable experience. Instead, we felt that the staff, in general, were not very welcoming or engaged. It often seemed as though they didn't enjoy their work, which affected the overall atmosphere. We never felt like valued guests or that the hotel was making an effort to create a special experience.
During breakfast, we had an accident, and while most of the team did not follow up, we would like to sincerely thank the F&B Manager, who took the time to check on us and make sure we were okay. His professionalism and genuine care stood out and were greatly appreciated.
Overall, the hotel has a stunning location, beautiful facilities, comfortable rooms, and fantastic food. Amazing SPA stuff! However, the level of front desk service did not meet our expectations. We would happily return to the Seychelles because it is an incredible destination, but unfortunately, we would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
Very modern and high class hotel
