A fantastic place to stay
We spent 10 fabulous nights at this hotel. Not only are the facilities at the hotel excellent but the staff are absolutely amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. The buffet dining is wonderful. The choice of food, presentation and quality is outstanding. A special thankyou to our wonderful waiter Dilan who went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. His attention and service were first class. Also, so many of the staff to remember as they were all fantastic but thankyou to Sicile, the restaurant manager Damaish and our fantastic room boy Malawana who serviced our rooms beautifully and every day we came back to a cleverly made towel statue! Thank you Taj Bentota Resort for a fabulous holiday and many happy memories. This hotel is truly special.

The place is really a value for money. Fantastic food and fantastic service levels The chef mr dalip singh was so welcoming and warm. Wonderful place to chill and relax. Atmosphere good and overlooking the Sea from most areas of the hotel. Rooms are okay. Food in keeping with Taj quality. Chefs fantastic. Mr. Dalip SIngh was great and is a credit to the hotel in the buffet area and was exceptional and surprised us with some nice dishes.

This was, without a doubt, the best hotel stay I have ever experienced.
From the moment we arrived, every member of the team—from the front desk to housekeeping, the restaurant staff, and everyone we interacted with—made us feel genuinely welcomed. The warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail perfectly reflected what the Taj brand stands for. In fact, this experience surpassed every Taj stay I have had in India.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the Food & Beverage experience. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day, and every meal was exceptional in terms of quality, taste, presentation, and service.
A very special appreciation goes to Chef Mr. Dalip Singh. I have travelled extensively and stayed at many luxury hotels, but I have rarely come across a chef with such passion and dedication. He personally visited every table, interacted with guests, sought genuine feedback, and even offered to prepare dishes according to individual preferences. His humility, enthusiasm, and commitment to ensuring every guest had a memorable dining experience were truly inspiring. Hospitality professionals like Chef Dalip Singh are the reason guests return to a hotel.
I would also like to sincerely thank Ms. Shamika for her excellent support behind the scenes. Her efforts were clearly reflected in the seamless dining experience we enjoyed throughout our stay.
Please convey my heartfelt appreciation to Chef Dalip Singh, Ms. Shamika, and the entire team. They have set a benchmark for hospitality and reminded me why Taj continues to be one of the finest luxury hotel brands.
