A Stay That Truly Cared for Our Little One
We recently stayed at Taj Bentota with our young toddler, and it turned out to be one of the best family holidays.
Special thanks to Chef Jasvir, who was wonderfully patient with our requests around our baby's food. He checked in personally to understand exactly what would work and made sure every meal was prepared with real care - it made a huge difference traveling with a toddler.
The front office team was warm and responsive throughout, always ready to help. Housekeeping kept our room spotless and were considerate about our baby's nap times.
Finally, a big thank you to Mr. Sibi Mathew, who heads the property, for personally making sure our stay was seamless. His attention to detail clearly sets the tone for how the whole team treats guests.
Thank you to everyone at Taj Bentota - we'll definitely be back!

Chef Jaswir Singh - Taj Bentota
Our dinner at Taj Bentota, prepared by Chef Jaswir Singh, was easily one of the highlights of our stay. Every dish arrived beautifully plated and full of flavor — you can tell he puts genuine care and creativity into his cooking, especially the way he blends Sri Lankan and Indian influences using fresh, local ingredients. Service around the meal was warm and attentive too, which made the evening feel special rather than just another hotel dinner. If you're visiting Taj Bentota, do yourself a favor and make sure you get a taste of his food — it's the kind of meal you keep thinking about long after you've left. Five stars, no hesitation. Best Indian Chef in Srilanka.
Chef Sarath Shoutout!
Taj Bentota you sure delivered! Everything from the staff, the hospitality, the hotel grounds, to the room but esp the food was just exceptional! Special shoutout to chef Sarath whose aloo prontay were just mouth watering! Every morning Sarath would personaly ask if we needed anything. Thank you Sarath, those prontay sure did hit the spot!. Food was fresh and of high quality! We cant wait to return.
