Haritha Villas and Spa

One of the best hotels that I ever stayed. Beautiful, charming and peaceful, with a very nice staff. The food was also amazing. Within the staff I would like to highlight Kingsley as an outstanding employee in terms of both his competence and kindness. General Manager Axel was also very friendly and went out of his way to ensure that our entire experience would be memorable—which it certainly was.

Our stay at Haritha Villas + Spa was truly exceptional and easily one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything felt personal, peaceful and genuinely welcoming.

We stayed in Contemporary Villa 4, Myna, a beautiful private villa surrounded by lush tropical greenery with its own pool and terrace. The privacy is incredible. You wake up completely surrounded by nature, with birds and even peacocks appearing around the property. It feels secluded and peaceful, yet every comfort is taken care of.

The attention to detail was noticeable from the very beginning, from the beautiful welcome fruit and fresh juices in our villa to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The villa itself is stylish, spacious and beautifully designed, blending modern luxury with the natural surroundings.

The food deserves special recognition. Breakfasts were fresh and beautifully presented, and our dinners were excellent, with great variety, quality ingredients and impressive presentation. Whether having breakfast overlooking the greenery or enjoying dinner in the evening, every meal felt relaxed and special.

But as beautiful as Haritha is, what makes this place truly outstanding is the people.

A very special thank you to Ishanka, our private butler, who was absolutely exceptional. His kindness, professionalism and attention to detail made our stay so much more memorable. He was always there whenever we needed something, often anticipating what we wanted before we even had to ask, while at the same time giving us complete privacy to enjoy the villa. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble for him. Ishanka represents hospitality at its very best, and we are genuinely grateful for the way he looked after us.

We also want to personally thank Alexa, the Hotel Manager, who went above and beyond. What impressed us was his personal involvement. He did not simply leave the experience to his team. He personally made us feel welcome and took the time to ensure that we were enjoying our stay.

Even when it was time for us to leave, Alexa was there personally to give us a warm farewell. Knowing that we were travelling onwards to Ella, he took the time to share recommendations and useful tips for our next destination. It may sound like a small gesture, but these are exactly the moments that distinguish genuine hospitality from simply excellent hotel service.

And finally, our sincere appreciation goes to the entire Haritha team. Every person we encountered was warm, respectful, attentive and welcoming. There is clearly a culture here where guests are genuinely cared for, rather than simply served.

We have stayed in many beautiful luxury hotels, but beautiful rooms and pools alone do not create memorable experiences. It is the people who make you remember a place and want to return. Haritha Villas + Spa has understood this perfectly.

We arrived as guests and left with wonderful memories and genuine appreciation for the people who looked after us.
