Checked in - 25 July 2026 Checked out - 28 July 2026 Visited with my wife. Booked sea facing room. To my surprise the room was very big. It has one big room with attached bathroom and a huge hall with attached toilet and pantry. The sea view was from our hall. There was also a small balcony attached to our bedroom. The property showcase nice heritage vibe. The staff —- very high standards, very professional. It has a common large pool which was very clean and the view from the pool is also sea view. You can see many big to small ships passing by which was again a great experience. The hi tea again was very nice with lot of snacking options. This property showcase a real 5 star standards. The location is very good. We travelled to fort Kochi from Guruvayur by a rental car and our Google map gave us the route which has a 5 mins ferry route to go to this hotel. The waiting time to board the ferry was approx 1 hrs.. please make sure to check the route prior to start. The hospitality and vibe was just awesome. The food was good though veg options are very limited but whatever is available has very high standards. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends and would definitely prefer my next stay here.
The location was idyllic with the hum of the busy harbour; watching of boats, ships and trawlers whirr past, makes for great watching, if you prefer that kind of relaxation. The monsoon clouds was a bonus and made for dramatic viewing from our room.
The property was calming, and well laid out; loved the ode to the culture of Kerala, and respect to the environment in every way possible.
The rooms, especially the second level offer excellent views of Kochi's waterways, with different moods and vibes across the day and night. Light sleepers should avoid ground floor rooms, as far as possible. giving the activity by the ferry service and by the pool etc, especially on weekends. A suggestion, perhaps a wall fan could be placed in the sit out area.
Very good rates and value for the location and room size and view, and other perks like breakfast and tea, and the sunset cruise. The food at both restaurants, History and Armoury was fab and helped us discover Kerala cuisine. Compliments to the chefs to keep it authentic.
The cleanliness was top notch. Nothing to complain. Not a spec of dust in sight across the massive property
The service was helpful; staff were kind, soft-spoken and not overbearing, offering guests privacy and comfort, and yet being at their service when needed.

A special mention goes to Ms. Priya, who was outstanding throughout our stay. She is not only highly professional and knowledgeable but also a genuinely kind and caring person. Her attention to detail, warmth, and dedication to guest satisfaction made our visit truly unforgettable. She is a great asset to the hotel.
We sincerely thank the entire team for their exceptional hospitality and look forward to returning soon.
Brunton Boatyard is a charming boutique property overlooking the serene waters of Fort Kochi, with just around 27 rooms, creating an exclusive and peaceful atmosphere. We visited during the monsoon season, and witnessing the rain sweeping across the waterfront and the beautiful lagoon within the property was truly mesmerizing. The beauty of Kerala's monsoon is something special, and Brunton Boatyard offers the perfect setting to experience it.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality. A special mention to Priya and her team for their exceptional care and attention throughout our stay. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and ensured every moment was memorable. We highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone visiting Fort Kochi.
The hotel is in a colonial building formerly used as a boatyard, so it’s located next to the ferry terminal. It is particularly funny floating in the pool and observing ferries and fishing boats pass, and sea birds swooping and eating their fishy prey overhead. The hotel itself is airy, clean and decorated well. The staff are helpful, and there is a fair system for wages and the distribution of tips by the CGH earth management (the company who own this hotel). (They also provide a tap in the outside wall with free drinking water for the public, which is a great initiative.) There are tuk tuk outside, uber is easy, and it’s a short walk to the Chinese fishing nets and other sites of Fort Cochin. The breakfast was amazing, as were the Armoury Grill at night, and the History restaurant. The hotel organises free breakfast yoga, a sunset boatride and afternoon tea at your request
