Disappointing stay with no effort to make it right.
As a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite member, I expected a lot more from Edition Dubai. Our stay fell short in several ways and worse, when we raised our concerns during the stay, nothing was done about it, not even a small gesture like a coffee while we waited for our room.
We were told suite upgrades weren't possible because all suites were under renovation, which we later found not to be accurate.
No breakfast, no amenities, no acknowledgment at all in the moment when it would have actually mattered. This is simply not what is expected from a luxury brand.
A follow-up apology came after the stay had ended. I appreciate the gesture, but it doesn't undo the experience.
Sadly, this won't be a property we return to.

Average hotel, advertised as a luxury hotel. Dirty and worn.
its more like a train station or airport hotel than a luxury hotel.
I have been to a few 'Edition' hotels and this was the worst, it felt crowded, busy, noisy, and cluttered. The design of the hotel is nice but someone has decided to clutter every part they could with cheap looking plants/planters, and there is a desk opposite the checkin area that is cluttered with tourist brochures and offerings. It feels like a cheap hotel the moment you step inside.
the rooms are small, functional, clean. there was no minibar in the room or bottled water, you have to ask for that to be provided, again, this makes it feel like youre in a cheap airport / budget hotel. the bathroom was worn, with low shower pressure, and limited towels.
the pool area was ok, everything seemed dirty, the loungers were all dirty and worn, some with cigarette burns and stains, some with collapsed cushions. you needed to put towels down on the loungers to feel clean. the staff at the relatively small area were nice but it was at time difficult to get service (I had to walk to the bar).
the gym was small and limited.
checkin/check out experience was average.
the restaurant in the foyer was ok, they made a nice dirty martini, but service was slow.
a really average hotel, advertised as a luxury hotel but it is not.
