Good resort
We have stayed in Cancun a number of times, so in comparison to some of the previous hotels we’ve visited, this wasn’t the best one but we did enjoy our stay. The hotel felt much more like a European-style resort.
It’s a small resort, the rooms are quite small, but they are cleaned daily. The hotel, pool, and beach were kept very clean. The food was okay in all of the restaurants, the hot dogs and burgers were amazing!
Most of the staff are really friendly and do a great job of creating a lovely atmosphere around the resort. A special mention has to go to Juan, the manager, and Angel, the entertainment lead, who were both fantastic and really helped make our stay enjoyable.
The pool unfortunately dyes clothing green and it hasn't come out of some of out swimwear which is frustrating. I would advise not to use new/good swimwear for this reason.
Overall, whilst this wouldn’t be our first choice compared with some of the resorts we’ve stayed at in Cancun, we still had a lovely holiday. There were plenty of positives to enjoy, and we wouldn’t be opposed to staying here again.

Our holiday here has been unforgettable.Angel from the entertainment team has made our holiday special. he’s fun and exciting to have around . And I am happyto call him a friend. He is friendly and has been great company throughout my time here. Highly recommended place to stay. The staff are fab but angel has worked hard to make our holiday special .. the place is beautiful throughout and Mexico is clean and stunning.

I can honestly say, if you want a break from hotel chains and fancy something smaller and more personal I can highly recommend this place. The staff are friendly (Ivan is very kind), the hotel is clean, the food is great, the entertainment is plenty full and the beach is stunning (although compact). It is also in a great spot for down town Cancun and the hotel zone.
Cancun Bay Resort should be renamed Angel Bay Resort
We are still here but this has honestly been the best holiday. Its my first time to Mexico but I will definitely be back and would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!.
Angel from entertainment made the day time! Interacting with everyone, music, volleyball, banter and loved winning the Disney Pictionary. Shame the winnings was a tequila shot though lol
Food was good also. A range of different dishes too. Different themes nightly. Pools and bars were good too. Entertainment in the evening was fantastic too. MJ tribute and Pop Dance troupe were incredible! Location is perfect too.
When we arrived they put us in a double instead of a twin however without making much of a fuss they upgraded us to a twin junior suite for no additional charge, what service!
Only faults I would say would be the smell of seaweed but that can't really be helped, at least they clear this from the beach after all. And the sea hammocks that were advertised were not there our entire stay, which was a little disappointing.
Other than those points everything else was amazing. And again Angel was honestly the best! #nevergoingtogiveyouup!
