I recently celebrated my birthday at the Grand Park Royal Luxury Cancun, and it was a great experience. Our butler, Alex Borges, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. 

One of the highlights of our trip was dinner at the Italian restaurant, where Felipe gave us the best service I’ve ever had. 

The ocean views were breathtaking, the food throughout the resort was consistently good, and everything was spotless and well-maintained. The adult pool was so relaxing. 

I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday trip. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for relaxation.

Take the Trip

We stayed at Grand Park Royal Cancun the 1st week of June, 6 adults and 10 teenagers. We had 4 villas and 1 Royal Tower suite - all were great. The resort was beautiful and very clean, the restaurants and bars were good, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the activities/entertainment were fun. Our teenagers particularly enjoyed the staff vs guests pool games, karaoke, and the silent disco. The swim-up bar, super comfy beach chairs, 24-hour room service, spa, Mexican Fiesta Night, and ice cream shop were also big hits. 

For me, the standout feature of our stay was the exceptional service provided by our butler, Yajaira. She was super attentive and took care of every need we could possibly think of, including arranging dinner reservations for our large party every night, decorating the rooms of our 7 recent high school graduates, obtaining any items we needed in our rooms, confirming our airport transfers, scheduling luggage assistance, and much more. She checked in with me every morning and throughout the day (via WhatsApp and in person) to make sure we were all taken care of. Yajaira made a great vacation even better!

For airport transfers, some of our group used MTS and some used Amstar. Both were fine, no issues. The resort is about 25 minutes from the airport. 

Minor detail - for some reason we would only get 1 washcloth per day, but got plenty of bath towels and hand towels. Even when extra washcloths were requested, they would bring hand towels instead. It actually ended up being funny because we were all fighting for that one washcloth every day.  So maybe bring some extra washcloths with you.  

I booked directly with the resort online, got a great rate, and had lots of communication via email prior to our arrival. 

We will definitely visit Grand Park Royal Cancun again!

Great Vacation for a large group!

Grand Park Royal Cancun was great! It is relaxing and fun!  Activities during day and at night keep you as busy as you want. The beds are so comfortable and rooms include lotion, body gel, shampoo, and conditioner that are actually amazing. Refillable water bottles are included to reduce plastic water bottle waste and plenty of water fill stations around the property. The restaurants are all delicious--really-- fresh ingredients which makes a difference when at an all inclusive. Alcoholic beverages were all top of the line too!! Must make reservations for the Hibachi table at the Koi restaurant. Have patience went eating at the sit down restaurants for dinner--it can take a while but worth the wait. If you are in hurry go to the buffet which is great also and faster. You have a waiter at each restaurant even the buffet for drinks so be courteous and take some tip money--- $1 and $5 bills will be handy and well appreciated. The registration desk will not break down larger bills but the waiters will. 

Great Experience

PROS: As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff. Ricardo explained all of the amenities well. I am keeping my original review of Antonio & Josmar. They were SUPER friendly and accommodating with allergy restrictions. Out of all of the restaurants, Flor de Sal was our favorite- breakfast, lunch and dinner. The wait times weren’t excessive. The food was fresh, cooked to our liking and taste overall was exceptional!
The pool and bar staff were so kind and so helpful!
MAJOR pro was the amount of water stations scattered around the resort.
The italian restaurant does get busy for dinner, I recommend going in and asking for wait times if you’re in a big group.
There’s an app, that we weren’t told about at the beginning, that shows the calendar of events, map of the resort & room service- very tech friendly app!
We attended the Mexican Fiesta night, which was SO fun! Mariachi & Baile Folklorico interacted with the crowd, and had the guests up on their feet!
Recommend bringing a personal tumbler or cup for drinks as they will add it in there for you.
The adul pool is very nice, with all kinds of seats to pick from. The spa was clean and staff were friendly.
This resort is definitely more on the family friendly, less of a party atmosphere. Although the lobby bar offers DJ from 11pm-1am, which we enjoyed! The food at the snack bar was good- especially the nachos and wings!
Pool offers fresh towels every day & the pools were clean.

CONS: We tried taking Pesos out from the ATM and unfortunately the machine did not return my debit card. I was not pleased with the way the situation was handled by the front desk staff. Thankfully it was my last night and was able to lock my card through the app. 

Enjoyed our stay!

I cannot say enough about our trip to the grand Park Royal in Cancun. We were there to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday.. We upgraded to the adults only Butler room. Our Butler Alejandro went above and beyond. He made sure that my daughter‘s birthday was impeccable. I believe getting a Butler room is a must. Every day he made dinner reservations for our group of six and he reserved beds next to each other at both the pool and the beach. The food was amazing. The breakfast buffet was impeccable. Our favorite restaurant at dinner was the Italian restaurant. We went twice. I’ve been to Italy and I have never eaten at a restaurant that was so close to Italy. Our waiter, Philippe make sure my daughter was the queen of dinner that night. The rooftop bar overlooking the city was our nightly hang out. The music and the city of view in the evening was spectacular. We were sad to leave. There is not one thing that I see that they need to improve on. If you like crystal Clearwaters and white sand beaches this is your hotel. Thank you for all you did for us. We will be back.

This All-Inclusive hotel is the ideal base to enjoy some perfect holidays in an outstanding environment, with magnificent views of white sand beaches and Nichupté Lagoon.
