The charming beach hotel is strategically located in the heart of the hotel zone in Cancun. It is surrounded by the most famous nightclubs in the city as well as several restaurants and shops. The hotel is located just 25 km from Cancun International Airport. Renovated in 2011, the hotel has 204 well-equipped rooms as well as 4 restaurants and 3 bars offering gourmet food and imported drinks. The air-conditioned club resort welcomes its guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception, currency exchange facilities and lift access to the upper floors. Further facilities include a children's playground, kids' club and a cafe. Each of the well-equipped guest rooms features an en suite bathroom and a private terrace or balcony. Further room amenities include an LCD cable TV, a minibar and Internet access for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.

Actual experience at Sunset Royal
I’ll start on the best positive - out of the big number of staffs in there, two people who stood out were 1) Jesus (pronounced as “Hea-sooos like Heather on Hea) and 2) Rodrigo who served in their Actuario restaurant.
Both of them showed true excellent service. They were very passionate about their jobs. Jesus took it to the next level. He made us feel we were close at home. It wasn’t about the tips - you can tell how genuine he was at his job!
Concierge - not so friendly staff. Goes straight to business. It may be your culture but most of us guests were from North America.
Room service - cleaners were excellent too. Only complaint is on our last day, A/C (airconditioner) got broken and it wasn’t fixed - even the main lobby was so hot!
Building is pretty old
Overall, it was a good experience in there. I believe the staff can do better!
Great experience
The resort is good especially it’s all inclusive. Rooms ate clean but need some upgrades. The view by the beach and lagoon was amazing. Foods is a hit and miss. Staff were so friendly and accommodating .
Unforgettable stay in sunset royal beach resort
We were in this resort for a week and we had a great time. The service in this place is amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rubiverto, the maintenance staff is incredible and very friendly. Thomas one of the waiters is kind. Allan also a waiters is nice. Judith, i think she is a event coordinator kind of is very friendly and helpful. We have a very happy holiday because of these people. They made our stay and experience unforgettable. Thank you!

Entertainment staff & activities
What made this resort great for me was the entertainment amenities everyday. The entertainment group Alfredo, and Judith led poolside activities multiple times a day. Dance lessons, making bracelets, fun games, sports and more. Very talented musicians aswell for night life parties and karaoke. Whether you are looking to relax in the sun, or have fun by the pool this resort can be a perfect fit for you.
