If you like quiet luxury - choose The Waldorf!
We stayed at The Waldorf Astoria September 12-17th. We were looking to relax and take some time together as a couple. This was the perfect time/place for us. It's the off-season, and The Waldorf was very, very quiet. We were immediately greeted by the bellboy, Antonio, who later helped in getting us medicine that I mistakenly forgot to pack.
The lobby bar is perfect for a stop before dinner. We loved going here and enjoying a cocktail and the amazing olives included in the complimentary bar snack plate. Sebastian was so sweet and attentive. He and the bartender were able to come up with a great concoction for my sore throat and it was delicious!
They had 1 restaurant for breakfast, 2 for lunch, and 2 open for dinner.
We had just come from another neighboring resort, Atelier. The food was good there, but the food at Waldorf is, of course, on another level...but you pay for it!
Breakfast at Chai was amazing...I'm dreaming of their Eggs Benedict as I write this! Brando greeted us every morning by name and was very friendly. We are Hilton Diamond members, so breakfast (around $120 per couple a la carte) was complimentary!
Dinner at both restaurants (Jai and Malpeque) are AMAZING! The food is some of the best we've ever had. I recommend trying the tasting menu at Malpeque. I don't care for tuna and their tuna on crispy rice was to die for!
Jai had some amazing Mexican food - duh! ;) We enjoyed the quesabirria, and the red velvet churros are A MUST! Jordio at Jai was an Amazing waiter! He was so sweet in explaining what was in each dish...down to the ingredients in some of their amazing sauces.
After breakfast each day, we chose to hang out at the pool. Omar was great at setting us up each day in our cabana (free, but you do pay for the cabanas closer to the ocean. :/).
This was the perfect getaway and one that we will return to next time we need to do nothing but sit by the pool!

Relaxing and great staff
The hotel was very relaxing with amazing staff in restaurants and around property. Poop servers were very accommodating and friendly. Cynthia, Esperanza and Yodhir made our trip special and memorable doing crafts and activities every day.

This was an absolute wonderful experience for my entire party. Being a Diamond member of Hilton enhanced her experience at the Waldorf property in Cancun!
The concierge’s were extremely helpful such as Brie and Cesar and Theresa, thank you so much for your help… truly went above and beyond, extremely friendly and accommodating!
They had organized, not only dinners, but Cirque du Soleil for my group and it was all very magical.
The Waldorf hotel itself is situated in a sanctuary site off the beaten track, which was fine by all of us. What makes this property exceptionally nice is that it’s a bit more reserved, and less crowded than probably other hotels are in Cancun!
The pool is magnificent as are the rooms.
Staying at the Waldorf Astoria in Cancún made our stay all that much better!
The breakfast was over the top and the service was exceptional. A special thanks to the hostess Karla, who was extremely nice every day we were there as well as all the other servers. The food was delicious and presentation unsurpassed.
Sitting at the bar at the Waldorf famous Peacock Alley is always fun. The bar menu was delicious and you can even order from the Michelin star restaurant next-door at the same property. Rafael was the bartender who was exceptionally nice to me and my party.
I would love to go back
A special thank you to Alexandra a manager who checked me in at the very beginning as I stayed there for six days, and Fernando, who was very pleasant and informative when we out!

Unforgettable Experience Must Visit...
Excellent experience great hotel, excellent customer service. Loved the activities Tote bag painting, bracelet making, pottery painting, bracelet making, bingo/blackjack. Special thanks to Esperanza, Cinthia, and Yodhir. Super recommend, great food, and drinks did the Margherita class woth Esteban, very knowledgeable super fun and comfy stay... will visit again...

Really excellent property staff and food
This was our second time at this Waldorf Astoria and we opted for the all-inclusive package. Really excellent food quality, welcoming and attentive staff. This was to celebrate our anniversary and Luis at the pool bar went above and beyond to make our experience memorable.
They have a somewhat limited beach area but the pools are simply fantastic. The spa is excellent and the gym has everything you need. Their move to be adults only will be an added bonus starting next year.
We will certainly be back again!
