Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya

My family of six stayed here to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. We have stayed at Hyatt Properties before, but usually at Secrets.
We were transported by Amstar and had great service. When we arrived, we were promptly checked in. Our rooms were not ready so we went and had lunch on the property. You don't need reservations for lunch and breakfast. You can have a sit down lunch or order from one of two grills. You will need to make reservations for dinner. Our room was ready early (about 2p) . Our room was clean, spacious, and nice and cool. No issues with the climate control. The toilet and showering area is separate from the bedroom. There included activities everyday around the pool and in a room just inside the lobby. The service was outstanding, especially around the pool and beach. Julio and Edwardo are constantly walking around and your drink won't be empty. Carlos, the pool attendant, is around all day to make sure you are comfortable. He will also move umbrellas and chairs to make your stay enjoyable. There was no sargasium in ocean during our stay and the ocean was clear. I tried snokling, but there is no reef only white sand. We all had good meals at the different restaurants. They have wildlife at the resort. You will see the Coutis everywhere. Make sure to LOCK your sliding glass doors because they can open them. The mosquitos were bad every night. They have bug spray at the restaurants, but you should bring your own.

It was great experience overall with the food being very good in the restaurants and a very friendly staff. The place was very clean and we loved watching the coatis walking around everyone. The only negative would be not a lot of restaurants to eat at, especially if you wanted something fast and more night activities. the spa was very overpriced.
