Secrets Impression Moxché Playa del Carmen welcomes you to discover the most elevated level of all-inclusive luxury with the introduction of the Impression concept to the Secrets portfolio. Located within Corasol, a gated residential community a mere 40 minutes from Cancun International Airport, Secrets Impression Moxché gives new meaning to all-inclusive vacations with lavish, upscale suites and extravagant beachfront villas in addition to a more private, personalized experience for the most discerning travelers seeking the highest level of luxury and unmatched service.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We returned to Moxche to try Impression after staying at Secrets last year. The additional exclusive restaurants, pools, and perks throughout the property really helped convince us of the difference! The food and beverage offerings were a step above, and the service was exceptional. We had a great butler team (Rafael and Gilberto), thoroughly enjoyed activities with with some members of the entertainment team (Jose, Jazmin, Dani, and Jessica), and top-notch service from Alonso and his Sommelier team (Liliana, Jose, and Noe). So many warm, friendly, and dedicated servers throughout the property (Demetrio, Armando, Fernando, Hugo, Consuelo). It really felt like we were part of their family for the week. Looking forward to a return visit!
We had a really good experience with this hotel. We had fun with Jose playing Bingo on the rooftop.
This was our third time at Impressions Moxche by Secrets and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. Although it's summer at home, we like to visit Mexico's lovely resort properties through our UVC membership, to be spoiled on vacation. We arrived in mid-July for a 6 night stay, coming from another resort.
Our butlers Maili and Zulda provide outstanding service. They always provide a warm welcome, anticipate our every need and make us feel completely at home. We love the Impressions side of Moxche, as we enjoy the additional offerings there - we like the pools, we find the food outstanding and enjoy doing yoga with Lucy. Our room was great as we had an upgrade to a suite with an awesome view.
For food - our favourites were the Seaside Beach Club both breakfast and lunch were amazing, and the staff are excellent. Always starting with a warm welcome from Ana the hostess and we had great service from Benjamin, Jesus and Eunice. We enjoyed a couple of dinners at Cielo Rooftop, although it's a smaller menu, the quality of the food is superb, as well as the outstanding service from Victor and Jimmy. We did the Tanoshii experience and it was terrific. Chef Yonezawa is very talented and a lovely host; so it was no surprise that we also loved our dinner at Suki, with great service from Roxanna. We enjoy wine and find the house wines to be quite good, which are mostly the same as at other Secrets resorts.
We don't stay up late, so did not see any shows, but we really enjoy listening to the live music (often a duet) at the Cove bar over the lagoon, in the early evening.
We really enjoyed our time here once again, and will be back.
Clean and fun environment with good service and amenities! Most importantly, our butlers Alberto and Mateo made sure they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I was not feeling well on the trip and they ensured that my comfort was their priority. I lost a pair of sunglasses which they found for me in less than an hour as it was soon my check-out time. Their response times on the chat were super quick and made sure to check-in on us regardless of where we were in the resort. If there was any reason to go back, it would be to have these butlers again! Thank you so much to the both of you for making my trip memorable and also enjoyable!
My wife and I just got back from 8 nights at Impression Moxche. While we have visited other properties under the Hyatt umbrella, this was our first stay at this particular one. Prior to this stay, we have visited Dreams Playa Mujeres, The Grand at Moon Palace, and Waldorf Astoria Pedregal.
TLDR -- The biggest question that I believe gets asked is; "Is the premium price of the Impression (roughly $125/night) worth it (vs the adjacent Secrets property)?" Between the additional restaurants (and food quality), the ability to access quieter areas (when we wanted), what we felt were stronger drinks (more on that later), the butler service, and the room quality, we believe the answer to be "yes".
We opted for an ocean view room with a king sized bed. Overall impression of the toom is that it has a very open (California-like) feel to it. Plenty of room to spread out with a couch, a table, and bed in the main room. A rain shower with a separare full size tub (enough for two people). A spacious deck with a lounge bed, a chair, and another full-sized tub (which I definitely recommend using -- especially in the evening before sunset -- a great way to end the day). I have attached a few photos for reference.
== The Restaurants==
In order of favorite to least favorite....
Teodoro -- Hands down a very high quality and very unique food experience. Living in California, we have a lot of options for dinner, and this one probably ranks in the top 10. Our favorites were the corn soup with chocolate tart and the beef cheek tacos. Service here was also exceptional with a description of each dish tableside.
Cielo -- Best (no-cost) overall for both lunch and dinner. Standout items were the ceviche, elote corn ribs, smash burger, pear and brie pizza, and mozzarella appetizer.
Seaside Beach Club -- Best breakfast on the property by far (only available for Impression guests) with an amazing brioche french toast as well as a really great eggs Benedict. Also came for lunch and enjoyed the chicken and orzo dish.
Bisou -- Overall a solid French restaurant. We ordered and enjoyed the beef tartare, French onion soup, beef wellington, and off menu creme brulee.
SeaSoul -- Probably the best beachside lunch option (on the Secrets property) including ceviche, tacos, and enchiladas.
Allora -- Tried the bolognese as well as the lasagna. Srand out item of the night was the tableside Tiramisu....something I had not personally experienced before.
Suki (Teppanyaki Experience) -- Nothing too special (compared to places like Benihana) about the experience. Probably would not do it again. Some improvements that could be made are more choice in the menu and steak cooked to preferred temperature (all was cooked the same).
Suki -- Nothing great but nothing bad to say here. Just an average Japanese experience (but we have a ton of great Asian-type food in California -- so we are spoiled). My feedback here would be more indication on the menu as to size of orders (for example, the sashimi was only 3 pieces vs the more common 6-7) and the sushi rolls were 5-count vs the more common of 8 at most restaurants. Just wish I knew that up front before ordering. Also, the kind of salmon would be helpful (Atlantic vs Pacific).
Having had a decent amount of drinks from each bar and restaurant across the property from a number of different bartenders, i absolutely felt the drinks on the Secrets side were watered down while the ones on Impression were not so much. This had little to do with being Impression guests, but just how we felt after a few consecutive drinks. The flip side of this is that I would not want a bunch of really intoxicated people around me either....so pros and cons.
I would like to mention a few people who I believe made our trip special; Mariela (butler), Maria (butler), Jorge (Seaside server), Daniel (pool concierge), Karina (housekeeping), William (Impression pool) -- all went above and beyond. To the management team, please make sure they are recognized.
