Very good resort for honeymooners! Highly recommend!
This resort has all a couple needs for honeymooners to get away, relax, and enjoy each other’s company without having to stress about the planning. Everything is easily accessible, and the staff is always smiling and wanting to help you to ensure your stay is nothing short of excellent.

Honeymoon at The Excellence
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Excellence Riviera Cancun! From the 24/7 room service to the drinks at the bar, our servers were kind and attentive always, and the pools were fantastically well kept. Overall, we will certainly be back soon!

Bliss
Almost more blissful than can be imagined.
Wonderful food, restaurant after restaurant and dish after dish. Agave (Mexican), Chez Isabelle (French), and Spice (Asian), were favourites, and Aroma (coffee), Lobster House (seafood) the beach Las Olas and lunch/ breakfast Kitchen Table were also fantastic. The drinks were especially outstanding especially those from Alejandro. The wine list is incredibly overpriced and expensive, compared to label prices in restaurants in Canada, US or Europe.
There a lot of renovations going on and planned. We enjoyed Agave in the Oregano location and Chez Isabelle in the Flavor Market location (no Flavor Market menu this trip, which was truly missed).
Many more renovations are coming, such as Aroma, stores, Spa. It makes us feel some confidence that this, our favourite, resort will continue to offer quality at are reasonable cost. Prices had continually risen to a point where value for money was truly questioned, but it can be seen that ERC is attempting to control the price point. It is hoped that this continues.
The customer service was simply outstanding from arrival to departure, at meals, for drinks, in the gym or at yoga, everywhere.
The rooms are showing their age in things like patio screen doors, switches, etc. Lazy river pool was clean and well maintained but also showing its age. Rooms were exceptionally clean and wonderful.
Mini bar service was spotty with days missed with water and getting Cabernet instead of Merlot red wine was especially difficult for some reason, everytime.
The beach seaweed is truly a problem and the smell was often bad when at the front of the resort. We twice even ate inside at the Kitchen Table breakfast restaurant due to the smell. This smell does not go to the back of the resort (rooms on the lazy river), except for one night when it was strong in the AC airflow.
We come back many, many times primarily for the service and everyone is so friendly and lovely. The emphasis on quality food and drink (not just quantity, although portion size was perfect) is hugely welcome for us as well. The quiet, relaxed and customized vibe is also high for us. The ability to seek health and wellness at clean and well maintained facilities, and easily find peace and personal space.

We had such a wonderful stay! The resort is beautiful, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the entire experience was relaxing from start to finish. We loved our time here and are already looking forward to coming back!

The service, the food, the staff and facilities are fabulous. You can't get better service. The resort itself is clean and beautiful.
