Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun Resort

Went on a family vacation and have been to many all inclusive resorts…...this was a really disappointing resort overall. The food and service were bad; the layout of the resort is also awkward and not intuitive at all. The staff is friendly, but that’s about the only thing the hotel has going for it. You can’t even adjust the AC in your room lower than a certain temperature, which wasn’t adequate for Mexico in August. I would never take my family here again.

We had a wonderful 10 days at The Royalton Splash Hotel. We particularly liked the À la Carte restaurants which were kindly booked by our Butlers Diego and Diana. We loved the show cooking at Zen Tappenyaki as well as the à la carte menu. Rio and Grazie were also fabulous with delicious food. Ismael the waiter was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Our two teenage children loved the waterslides and lazy rivers. We had wanted to do some excursions but it was too hot and very early starts 5.30/6am pick ups!!, so we ended up not doing any. However, there was more than enough to do at the hotel. My husband and son really enjoyed the aqua volleyball. We very much enjoyed our complimentary hydrotherapy spa session., very relaxing! Diana and Diego were very helpful and set up a wattsapp group so if we had any questions or queries, they were our first point of contact and were always available. They were very friendly and attentive and were happy to be of assistance. The gelato shop was great with lots of different flavoured ice creams and cakes. The brownies were divine. Diamond Club was really good as we had our own designated check in and check out lounge, which made it all very quick and efficient. The Diamond Club pool area and pool were also really nice. Our room was situated above the sports bar so it could be a bit noisy at 1am when folk left the bar on closing, and the ice machine in the corridor was a bit noisy at night too. However, rooms were really comfortable, lovely beds, spacious rooms and great air conditioning. The evening entertainment was very good particularly the Michael Jackson show which was brilliant! All in all a fabulous holiday and would definitely recommend.
