Barcelo Maya Palace

Everything was amazing there but specially the staff, they were all amazing, Esteban is one of the staff members there and he went above and beyond and was extremely helpful. I would definitely come back to this resort. Lots of activities within the resort and there is something for everyone. 10/10

I’m here at Barcelo Maya palace for 14 days with family Of all the trips I’ve taken (which has been several per year) in different countries Barcelo chain seems to stand out as one of the best in every aspect . Our experience with the top management Gabriel Hernandez, worked honestly and professionally to solve problems and should be commended. He is a true professional in his field . There have been a couple of instances where our room was cleaned after 3pm. However, most of the staff are very helpful. Hats off to one in particular Miss Michelle Galvez who worked honestly in the buffet and sometimes in the premium level . She is professional and treats everyone with respect . She is a keeper and should have more opportunities in customer service . Eduardo in the bar lobby should also be commended for his service likewise Freddie The quality of food and services are very good. I will recommend to anyone who wants a 4+ resort.

The facilities and staff are out of this world. People couldn't be more accommodating. The pool is just gorgeous. The housekeeping staff are very helpful. My only critique is the buffet. The food served daily was just meh! It was redundant and just not great. In the morning the fresh squeezed orange juice was outstanding. The rest of the meals were regular fare and unremarkable. The speciality restaurants were outstanding, however. And service was also great. The beach was rocky and tricky to navigate, but having turtles swim all around made it worth the rocky entrance. If not for the buffet, I would have not hesitated to give 5 stars.
