Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya

An amazing 12-night stay – the staff made our holiday and we would happily go back !!!

We have just returned from an amazing 12-night stay at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. There were so many highlights, but what really made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and hardworking, and so many people went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

From the moment we arrived, Juan, who helped us with our transport to the room and our luggage, gave us such a lovely welcome and immediately made us feel at home.

A special mention also has to go to Andre/Andreas at reception, who was absolutely lovely and made the check-in process so easy and welcoming.

The breakfast team were fantastic. Melchor at the Park restaurant was brilliant, and José was also wonderful with us at breakfast and lunch. We have to give a huge special mention to Erik and Melchor — they were outstanding. They were both so friendly, attentive and genuinely lovely every morning. We absolutely loved seeing them and they really helped make our mornings enjoyable.

At dinner, Adela was fantastic and always made us feel so welcome. Alfredo at Carnal was also brilliant and provided such great service.

Basilo at Butchers deserves a special mention too. He was incredibly hardworking, had a fantastic sense of humour and always made us smile.

One of our favourite evenings was at Pueblito Lindo, where Nestor was fantastic. He gave us some great advice on the menu and was so patient and helpful when we were practising our Spanish with him! He really made the experience special.

Luis from the concierge team was incredibly helpful and friendly whenever we needed anything, and Wilber at the Sambay lobby bar was another member of staff who always looked after us brilliantly.

At Oishii, Manuel, our server, was fantastic. He was always making sure our drinks were topped up and was so attentive throughout our meal.

Honestly, every single one of these members of staff deserves recognition. They work incredibly hard and their friendliness and genuine warmth made such a difference to our holiday. We hope the hotel recognises what an amazing team they have.

The room was great, and we stayed in the Makal block, which we thought was excellent. It was a lovely, relaxing area and we particularly enjoyed the relaxing pool for couples. It was a great place to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

The food was absolutely amazing. We have travelled to quite a few all-inclusive resorts and can honestly say we have never had such good food. There was such a great variety and the quality was consistently excellent. We were genuinely impressed by how good the food was throughout our stay.

We also used the spa, which was very good, and the service there was excellent too.

The only negative for us was the sargassum. The smell was extremely strong at times, which was a real shame as the beach and sea would otherwise have been beautiful. We completely appreciate that this is a natural/environmental issue and not something the hotel can control, but it did unfortunately affect the beach experience.

Overall, though, we absolutely loved our stay. The resort is beautiful, the food is exceptional, the facilities are great and, most importantly, the staff are genuinely fantastic.

A huge thank you to Juan, Andre/Andreas, Melchor, Adela, Alfredo, José, Basilo, Nestor, Erik, Luis, Wilber and Manuel for making our 12 nights so memorable.

We would happily return to Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya and would especially love to see all of these wonderful people again!

Had a really nice stay at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya. The resort is beautiful, with lovely pools, tropical surroundings, and a great beach area.

The staff were friendly, the food was good, and there was plenty to do. A relaxing place to enjoy a holiday in Riviera Maya!
