Lovely hotel. Quiet and staff are friendly and attentive. We came from Artihotel in Sanur which I must say., for a 4 star that past hotel had a much better breakfast selection than this Nusa Dua , it does not cater for lactose free at all.!!! Many other travellers asked day in and out for almond milk or lactose free. We was just met with NO sorry!!! Not good enough for 5 star. And as it’s not close to shops., it’s an inconvenience. A American couple have said after 2 nights they will no longer eat here. Room service was good. Food was reasonable price and quality., morning coffee like cappuccino was a $6 au cost with your breakfast included in your stay.. at other hotels you can get this included.
I won’t stay again, but, others may love it.. do bring your own pillow, these are way too soft.. I will do a search of other hotels in Nusa for next time here .. but it was good enough for a relaxing few days .
I recently stayed at Bali Nusa Dua Hotel and, overall, had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine Balinese hospitality. Every department—from the security team and front desk to housekeeping and restaurant staff—made me feel valued as a guest.
The rooms are one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. They are incredibly spacious, modern, impeccably clean, and well-appointed with quality amenities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious with a large soaking tub and double vanity, and the entire suite felt peaceful and safe. Housekeeping maintained the room beautifully throughout my stay.
Breakfast at Kunyit Restaurant, included with my package, was another highlight. The buffet featured an excellent selection of Indonesian specialties alongside Western breakfast favorites. Fresh fruit, pastries, hot dishes, and made-to-order items ensured there was something for everyone. The staff were warm, attentive, and always smiling.
One thing to note is that specialty beverages, such as lattes, are available for an additional charge. I found the latte fairly average for the price, and unfortunately the chai wasn’t to my liking.
If possible, request outdoor seating overlooking the pool. It’s a beautiful setting to enjoy breakfast or dinner, surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. Just remember to apply mosquito repellent if you’re dining outside during the early morning or evening.
One area that deserves attention is room security.
I stayed in Room 1502, which has double entry doors. The primary door with the key-card reader functioned properly. However, the secondary door could be opened simply by pulling or shaking it, without using a key card. This was concerning from a guest safety perspective.
I reported the issue to the front desk on multiple occasions during my stay. Each time I was told that Engineering had repaired it, but every time I returned to my room, I was still able to open the secondary door without authorization. Before checking out, I personally demonstrated the problem to the housekeeping supervisor. I sincerely hope the issue has since been resolved, as security should always be a top priority.
I also noticed that the secondary interior security latch appeared to have been removed, leaving only the standard door lock.
The location is quiet and ideal for those wanting to relax away from the crowds. However, there are very few restaurants within walking distance. Most dining options require a 10–15 minute drive. One pleasant surprise was discovering the Bali Collection shopping and dining district, a beautiful outdoor shopping village with restaurants, boutiques, and entertainment. I only found it while driving around and wish the hotel had mentioned it during check-in, as it’s one of the best nearby attractions. The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle service, making it even easier to visit.
Finally, I’d like to recognize several staff members who made my stay memorable through their kindness and professionalism:
Resi, Prananda, Louis, Dwi, Dwika, Tya, Rio, Udiana, Elsa, and Ferdi—thank you for your outstanding hospitality. Your warmth and dedication truly made a difference.
Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
The Bali Nusa Dua Hotel offers spacious accommodations, excellent service, a delicious breakfast, and genuine hospitality. My only reason for not giving five stars is the unresolved room security issue. Once that is addressed, I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nusa Dua.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant food was delicious. Excellent service and accommodating.
The best hotel for both family and personal getaways! We recommend it to everyone! A very beautiful hotel with excellent staff.
