It is PERFECT!
I have stayed in a number of properties in Sanur and this is my favourite. The hotel really makes use of the outdoor spaces. It has a lovely front terrace, which reallyis an outdoor living room- so beautifully decorated1 and the outdoor bathroom isnt just a shower as it is in so many places- it is a total garden- so luxurious! the food is fantastic and the atmosphere around the pool so relaxed. It is fun to be on the walkway and watch the morning joggers over coffee or the people coming home from the beach over cocktails. I LOVE this spot.

Beautiful setting, but the food wasn’t quite as I remembered
The atmosphere is gorgeous and the service excellent. I have fond memories of eating here two years ago, so perhaps my expectations were especially high this time.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match my previous experience. The nasi campur was pleasant but lacked its former wow factor, and the rice wasn’t as good. The calamari had too much batter and only small pieces of calamari, while the soto ayam, once wonderfully fragrant and flavoursome, seemed bland.
Perhaps it was simply an off night. On this trip, I preferred the food at the Bali Beach Hotel and found it better value.
I’m mentioning this because I remember the food here being exceptional and hope the kitchen can recapture what made it so special.

Absolutely perfect ! faultless !
All hotels take note of what this comparatively old & small hotel excels in ( best we have ever stayed at by the way)
- True, genuine desire by staff to be excellent, friendly, helpful & professional . They are an amazing crew led by heart felt management
- Cleanliness, despite being 60+ years the rooms, bathrooms, public areas are Immaculate! Best in the world.
- Food & beverage - well above average, consistently good with variety, taste, enjoyment & feedback /flexibility taken on 100%
- Location..cannot fault! Perfect. Beach towels soft huge beautiful. No hawkers on their clean beach.
For these reasons we return again and again. Sadly for other hotels around the world they can only " hope" to be this great !!!

I stayed at a hotel that cost twice as much after leaving this place, but I actually found myself missing this hotel. Other than the lack of a sunset view, I really have nothing to complain about. I truly enjoyed my stay here.
Tandjung Sari Sanur 2026
We arrived at Tandjung Sari mid afternoon and warmly greeted by reception staff. The check-in process went smoothly, then we shown to our beautiful South Garden Bungalow and explained the layout of the bungalow (room 30). The bungalow is beautiful, large, no stairs, clean and tidy with ceiling fans, AC, large bath, large WIR, king bed and mozzie net, indoor and outdoor showers. It took me several days to realise that there isn’t a TV in the bungalow. I’m sure the bungalow had been recently renovated. Our bungalow was located in a lush garden setting, close to the pool, dining and the beach. We were advised they were completing renovations to the restaurant and all dining has moved to the breakfast dining area which overlooks the beach, great location and does not disappoint. The renovations had no impact on our stay with no noticeable noise or inconvenience. The setting is traditional lush Balinese gardens, walls, statues, bungalows and open air dining which we love. There is easy access to the beach from the property with beach dining, guest beach chairs and the area is kept exceptionally tidy. Separating the property from the beach is a bike path and walkway along the back of the beach. Breakfast is part of the accommodation which we enjoyed, especially the coffees. In-house dining Is very good and popular. Dining prices are slightly higher than outside which is to be expected. Value: I thought our stay was very good value, we wouldn’t normally pay as much as we did but couldn’t resist spoiling ourselves, we are very happy with our choice.
Dining nearby: Lots of restaurants, bars and warungs to choose from. Shotgun Social. Warung Happy Monkeys. Soul on the Beach. Shopping nearby: Icon Bali shopping centre (new). Street and beach shops. Massage: There are many massage, spa and wellness centres nearby, Donna Spa across the road is very good.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tandjung Sari and wish we could have stayed longer.
We will return .
