This amazing complex is a pioneering lifestyle resort situated in the dynamic hub of Seminyak, 5 minutes’ walk to Double Six beach, walking distance to boutique stores and restaurants and 15 drive to the airport. Great Staff, Poor Rooms
Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks.
The strengths of this hotel are their people. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and warm. This is honestly the only edge this hotel has.
However, other than the staff, the rooms BADLY need RENOVATION ASAP. The rooms are old and dirty. Management should really look into this because for a 4-star hotel, they are not living up to the standards.
On my first night, arriving almost midnight, as a solo traveller, I specifically requested prior to arrival for a clean, quiet room and easy access to the main part of the hotel.
Well… I was given a room that was maybe a 5-minute walk from reception, 4th floor, with a dirty bathroom, sticky stains on the sink countertop, and a clogged shower drain.
I raised this the next morning and they gave me another room. The new room was a little bit cleaner and in a better location.
But it didn’t end there…
A lot of issues were noted in this new room:
- Sink was clogged — I had to ask the next day for them to unclog it.
- Black mould on the sheets and the wood board under the TV — basically, I was inhaling the black mould during my stay.
- AC centralised vents were leaking/evaporating — water was coming out of the vents. They offered to repair it while I was in the room, during the paid time that I was supposed to enjoy and use my stay.
- Housekeeping just flipped the black-moulded/stained doona — it had stains on the top and the bottom where I was sleeping. So basically, I wouldn’t have noticed that it was supposedly a newly changed cover.
- Dirty wet rag left on my shopping bag — I had new clothes inside, which became wet and smelly as well.
- Bathroom automatic bidet — had a lot of yellow stains on the nozzle.
- Balcony door was left unlocked — which was a bit unsafe, especially as a solo traveller.
I raised some of these concerns during my stay, and to be fair, the staff were accommodating when I brought things up.
But with all these issues, it’s not my job as a guest to raise them one by one during my stay. Like duh, I paid to stay at a hotel with the expectation of having good accommodation. I shouldn’t have to nitpick and point out basic cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues like a hotel manager.
The staff are genuinely nice and accommodating, and I have nothing bad to say about them. But management really needs to look into the condition of the rooms and the housekeeping standards because this is not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.

3.5 star hotel with 5 star service
This is a 3.5 star hotel with 5 star service and offers great value for money in a convenient location. The rooms are good, getting a little dated now and need some basic maintenence, but are great value. Worth updating to the suite for the extra room and quieter location away from the main roads. Rooms were very clean and the staff did an excellent job with daily housekeeping. The pools were lovely visually but lacked heating and were often shaded, making them too cold even when the outside temperature was high. There was no jacuzzi either, and a lack of sunbeds in the front, slightly warmer pool that gets a little more sunshine. The breakfast was well worth the extra money and had an excellent selection of western, indonesian and other asian foods in the front, with an even better selection of western foods in the back restaurant (but not asian flavours). There are no activities differentiating it from a resort, but having a tour desk was handy, if a bit more expensive than doing it on your own. The location is a short 10 minute stroll to the beach, with plenty of diverse shopping around it as well as eateries, and close to the useful Bintang Supermarket which is one of the best in Bali. We have stayed here twice and thoroughly recommend it for first timers to Bali on the strength of the superb staff who couldn't do enough for us, and the good rooms. Do wish the pools were heated though and had more sunbeds.

Loved The Haven
I loved my stay at The Haven! It’s in a great position, the room was lovely and super clean, staff are wonderful. I’ll definitely stay again next time!
Lovely Hotel, great location.
Fantastic place to stay in a great location, the hotel was clean and tidy with friendly and attentive staff. My daughter had a tattoo, and the hotel staff made up her bed in black sheets, very practical and a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent, also the pool side menu had a good selection. Would definitely stay there again.
