Not a 5* experience for us!
Great location. Average hotel and definitely not a 5 star hotel. The beach opposite was closed due to renovations onto the beach. Which was disappointing as we are beachy people and booked the hotel purposely for this reason. There was a shuttle bus daily to a local beach called hidden beach, however it was not accessible to all, and was small and dirty. The pool area was ok, no waiter service for drinks etc. staff were miserable. A 5 star resort would expect some waiter service round the pool area surely! Rooms were huge. Plenty of space. Bathrooms were tired. Breakfast was really good and plenty of choice for all eaters.. happy hour at the bar buy 2 beers get 1 free. We got six beers and only 1 free extra? Shuttle bus service to Hoi An town was offered.. you need to book which we did. However, we were unable to get on due to the amount of other people who got on the bus.. what’s the point of a booking system if you don’t use it properly. The hotel paid for a taxi for 4 of us, however, we waited an hour for the taxi!. Hoi An town definitely worth a trip too.. the riverside is madness.. we walked off the main drag and found a lovely couple of bars and restaurants.. Madame Laus was definitely worth a trip too for food.. popped into An Bang one evening, plenty of bars and restaurants there too..
my only other gripe is they give you free water in rooms, filled up glass bottles, this water was warm and not nice to drink.. they charge you for extra bottled from the fridge.. not really 5* experience at all..
we were offered a free 30 minute spa treatment on our last day which was nice. Not sure if this is something that they do to all customers but was a nice touch anyway.
We did a really good day trip from here but through get your guide. Bana Hills, Marble Mountain and Lady Buddha definitely worth the experience if staying here..
Fantastic resort with everything you could ask for
Wow everything you could ask for, well appointed rooms we are in the grand deluxe Riverview , ground floor walk in shower , ( we are seniors so important to us )comfy beds , spotlessly clean , great buffet breakfast , restaurant at night was good as well , & the staff are amazing a $5 grab ride to old town, the beach is getting a makeover at present but they have two pools a special shout out to Hein (Helen) in reception she has been so helpful, I would highly recommend this resort, por second visit very happy

Good hotel

This section of Cua Dai Beach is under construction
We chose this resort as we wanted to be near the beach. We were disappointed to find out when we walked to the beach for a quick dip on day one, that the beach is under significant engineering construction, to prevent further sand erosion. While this obviously needs to be done to maintain the beach, there was no prior notice from the resort that it essentially unusable, unless you drive at least ten minutes north. We found out later from other guests, (no one told us) that the resort is running a shuttle up to Hidden Beach for guests, but there is no “beach service” there.
In the absence of the beach, the resort could make more effort to create a “vibe” around the pools… most days there was no one serving guests at the pool bar and guests were seen wandering around looking for a drink, even seeing if they could serve themselves. The compendium says the pool is open till 11pm but it was lights out by 8pm most nights.
We stayed for our booked five nights and did our best to support the local business community but if you’re going to this resort for proximity to the beach , don’t bother. No one will say how long this repair will take…

Hoi An Beach Resort - lovely Resort
Hoi An Beach Resort is a beautiful spot to stay at Cua Dai Beach.
This Resort has a beach area across the road from the Resort.
Two swimming pools are set in lovely garden areas as well.
The restaurant does a fabulous buffet breakfast and their lunch / dinner menu at the restaurant has so many delicious options to choose from.
The Spa is well run with many treatments available on the Spa menu.
There is a gift shop (run separately) which offers a large range of gifts and clothing. The Resort is extremely clean and well run. The staff are very professional and so friendly and helpful. We had a medical emergency whilst staying here and we must say that everyone was so very caring to us and looked after us so well. We are very very grateful for this and thank them all so much. Special mention to Anh, Hiem, Thao, Lin, Happy and all the others who we met (too many to mention). We have no hesitation in recommending this Resort.
