Laluna Hoi An RiverSide Hotel and Spa

Location

Laluna is near enough to the Old Town that you don't have to Grab (about a 5-minute walk) but far enough that you are away from the noise and crowd. Because it was at such an ideal location, we walked to town a few times a day, often heading back to the hotel for a quick shower/nap and then heading out a little later in the day again. Before our trip, we were looking at a few other hotels and were considering staying a little further away from the bustle of the town. But we honestly couldn't have picked a better place than Laluna Hoi An.

Atmosphere

Laluna is a family-run style, boutique hotel that is warm, quaint and charming. As long as you understand this, then I think you will adjust your expectations.Some comments spoke about the dimly-lit reception area - this was definitely not something I did not personally notice. And whatever they may lack in lighting and some other minor inconveniences - which happens at most stays wherever you are - they more than make up for in their service and hospitality.

Rooms Rooms are very spacious and very clean. Housekeeping was prompt and did the job well. We got the River View Suite this time and were so happy with how comfortable and big it was! I experienced minor issues with the hot water the last time but the hot water AND pressure were great this time around. There was also a bathtub and a lounge area which was perfect for us because we had a photoshoot this time around. This lounge gave some privacy to the make-up artist to carry out her work and also to my partner who was resting at that 5am when she arrived.

Value I feel I got more than what I paid for so I would say it's great value for money.

Cleanliness

The rooms and premises are very clean, housekeeping, as mentioned, is also very efficient.

Noise Level

Laluna is generally located in a very peaceful and quiet area and the establishment itself is quiet. I did, however, experience VERY little noise that sounded like whispers or talking in the distance. My partner pointed out that it was most likely coming from some eateries along the river or opposite the river, as it was a Friday night and the area was a lot more crowded than usual.

Service I cannot commend the staff - their service and hospitality enough. They exceeded expectations. Laluna honestly felt like a home away from home, which was why we chose to stay with them even on our second trip (our first trip was in June). Unlike big, chain hotels, staff at boutique hotels remember you by name and are always more than ready to help. They are always ready to recommend food options, tours, shopping, and don't force you in any way. With us, they were completely honest and transparent.

Amenities There is a cute pool, pool bar and gym but we did not use any of these facilities so we can't really comment. We did, however, really enjoy the spa at Laluna. There are probably a lot of options outside but for us, it was just the convenience of going downstairs for the massage and facial and then heading right back up to the room to rest. Their therapists are also really good and prices are fair. I have to say we also did a lot of laundry here because it was just so convenient. We dropped clothes off at breakfast and would get them back before lunch.

All in all, it was a great experience for us and we look forward to returning to Laluna in the future. We highly, highly recommend staying here.

Our one-week stay at La Luna Hotel & Resort was absolutely outstanding. The week flew by, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Our room was incredibly spacious, exceptionally clean, and featured a very comfortable king-size bed. The bathroom was large, with plenty of hot water at all times. Housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard throughout our stay.

The food was excellent, and room service was always prompt and delicious. The swimming pool was another highlight, with plenty of comfortable sun loungers and ample fresh towels available.

What truly sets La Luna apart, however, is its staff. I usually notice one or two exceptional employees during a hotel stay, but at La Luna every single staff member was outstanding. Their service was genuinely six-star. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

A special mention also goes to the security staff at the entrance. They were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and proactive—often doing far more than their job required. Their warmth and professionalism made a wonderful first and last impression every day.

If you’re looking for a hotel with beautiful facilities, outstanding service, and staff who genuinely care about their guests, I highly recommend La Luna Hotel & Resort. We had an amazing stay and would not hesitate to return.
